Hello fellow grinders
New member. First post so please excuse any newbie mistakes.
200NL predominately live player
mid stakes live MTT player
First, some background.
I have been playing seriously for about 2yrs. I ran up a decent roll early on but went broke due to aggressive and undiscilined BRM.
I persevered for a while and continued working on improving my game strategy and theory. I continued to play fearlessly and tried not to be results oriented. I have recently come out of a 6mth downswing and built roll back up after some good MTT results.
Next, the issue.
I thought that after this journey coupled with my new BR (50 BIs), it can support my game and allow me continue to play even more fearlessly.
Instead I find myself playing scared money in cash games, being too passive and rather than playing aggressively and exploiting profitable spots
e.g. last night in a 1/2 a wild donk opened for $25 UTG and I folded AQo UTG+1 with an already tight table image instead of raising to iso.
This is mainly affecting my cash game, as my MTT game hasn't changed too much.
I don't know if the the feeling of having to protect rather than playing fearlessly is a common thing.
I am hoping it's temporary, but would appreciate any advice or feedback from others who have experience something similar.
