I must move to the states for an indeterminate time at the end of February. I have $ on both FT & Stars as well as in moneybookers/skrill - and none of these accounts are accessible from the states. Does anyone have any advice for me other than withdrawing?
The reason I'm hesitating withdrawing is the Stars deal in New Jersey - if they overcome the conditional veto, which I'm pretty confident will happen, should I just keep the $ there to prevent having to begin again with my account? (I can afford to leave it on there for several months.)
Also, if online's not made legal in the U.S. in the next 6 months say, and I need to get the $ off, anyone know if it's against Stars T&C's etc to have a mate in Europe log in my account and cash out into my account for me? Sounds iffy at first, but it's my poker account/my bank account so I can't see the ethical problem - as in, if I got hit by a bus, my heirs should still be able to get my measly bankroll :)

I told my brother that someday it would serve him well that I play poker! He's a materials engineer and so busy working all the time in one of the sub-contractors talked about in the article that I'm not sure he really knows about this. (too busy testing thingys in the whatchamacallit) If it turns out it's not valuable news to him I loved finding this out anyway!

I'd really like to see a live play tab or section somewhere. I was primarliy online but now find myself in the US for an undetermined length of time and so I've been playing live and finding it, of course, so very different. Maybe not MTTs but definitely cash.
BTW- brilliant addition to my poker world this site is! (Okay, I know, I accidentally went into Yoda speak there- but, in fairness, who else could be the Yoda of poker except Phil Galfond? In every good way of course, not the small green wrinkly bit lol)

Mental/emotional game forum is a brilliant idea and one that's seems to me to fall right in PG's domain. From the simpler areas like: I'm playing a table of bad loose players and win a lot and then sink down to limping with rag aces and losing a lot... to the much more complex life vs poker vs own worst enemy issues. Jared Tendler's book has a lot of helpful info but open discussion on a forum would be tremendously helpful.

First- I'm new to OFC !
If I'm the first to set my hand, I'm going with: (apologies for 180ing your set up, but I see it from top to bottom)
2x
4x
AK4ccc
I often put the odd deuces and threes on the top to give myself what I perceive to be my best chance of getting a pair there. Sometimes I'll put that odd 4x there with the deuce and leave the middle open.
With the second hand, I wouldn't play the flush because in my limited experience the cards are too low to give you safe, non-flush outs. So I'd set it:
3c2x
7c
8c8x
possibly put the 7 with the pair of 8s but usually not

I've started to listen to Bart Hanson's podcasts from the beginning to try to get a better handle on the madness of live low-limit. I had to move down from $2/5 because I couldn't adjust quickly enough.
By the way, I can't seem to go back into what I've already written (to add a thought or correct punctuation etc.) The cursor just doesn't respond. Anybody have any tips on that?
What I've found is that if I raise $15 in $1/3 game (most players about 100BB) I'll get too many callers and if I raise $20+ I usually get just the blinds. I always hope for the premiums in later position because I'm assured of getting at least one of the limpers to call. Also, if I'm deepstacked enough (+100BB) I do limp along or even open limp with spec hands - 67s+ and any low pockets because otherwise I think I'm missing out on value. The number of hands I've seen worked like the nuts (like top pair weak kicker all the way to the river) means playing more specs lets me lead the dog to massive returns sometimes, or get out cheap otherwise.
