Hey guys, I'd love to use the cool format here on this site (never really posted before) -- But I can't seem to find where my raw Hand History data is at. So if someone could help me with that, I'd love to reformat this post.... I play on BetOnline, but have 2 hands I'd like to go over. The latter of the 2 was more of a frustration call, but maybe not a terrible play? Not sure. I would gladly manually input this if that's possible as well... This is so ugly compared to the cool formatting.
First hand:
Blinds 75/150 (15 Ante) - 9 handed
Player 1: UTG - 7284 chips
Player 2: UTG+1 - 9311 chips
Villain: UTG+2 - 7435 chips
Hero: MP1 - 12892 chips
Player 5: MP2 - 7475 chips
Player 6: CO - 17008 chips
Player 7: Button - 6784 chips
Player 8: SB - 7220 chips
Hero hand: Ad Jh
Player 1 Folds
Player 2 Folds
Villain Raises 3x to 450
Hero Calls 450
2 ways to the flop:
7d Jd 6d
Villain pushes all in for 6985
What do I do here..? Top Top with the nut flush draw. I feel like he's not shoving a flush here? Definitely protecting something, but obviously I don't have a clue what. I'm sure you guys will know exactly what he has here, but IDK how to draw up that conclusion and fold...
Obviously I'm terrible, so I call....
Villain shows: Kd Kh
Final board:
7d Jd 6d 2c Qs
Villain wins 15230
Second hand, this comes a bit later in a different tournament after that first hand, so I feel that I admittedly didn't play it with the fullest of uhhh smarts I guess?
Blinds 200/400 (40 Ante) - 10 handed
Player 1: UTG - 7823 chips
Villain: UTG+1 - 12431 chips
Player 2: UTG+2 - 9241 chips
Player 3: MP1 - 12270 chips
Player 4: MP2 - 12264 chips
Hero: MP3 - 12113 chips
Player 6: CO - 23722 chips
Player 7: Button - 16246 chips
Player 8: SB - 28420 chips
Hero hand: Ts Tc
Player 1 limps 400
Villain limps 400
Player 2, 3, 4 Folds
Hero Raises 5x to 2000
Player 6, 7, 8, 9, 1 Folds
2 ways to the flop:
7c Td 8c
Villain checks
Hero checks (PROBABLY NOT A GOOD CHECK)
Turn:
7c Td 8c 9c
Villain bets 800 (pot is 5400)
Hero calls
Obviously I feel boned to all hell at this point, didn't bet the flop and got punished. I don't think I can fold here to 800 chips though. Especially since I have a flush draw of my own, and then chance of a FH...
River:
7c Td 8c 9c 2s
Villain checks
Hero bets 2400 (pot is 7000)
Villain shoves all in for 9631
Is he always just checking the best hand on the river here? I don't really understand I guess. Now it's 7k to win 19k, like am I just folding my set here? I suppose I am...
Villain shows Ah Jd
Playing devil's advocate - when you play full ring you're typically up against 'good hands' and less bluffs. That'll put you in situations that leave you clueless. So not sure I necessarily agree. Although you do, as said above, play more hands 6-max since your hands seem better with less players.
