I like the check-raise on a dry board like this but I dont like the way you played OTT and OTR. Think about BTNs range for calling your check-raise OTF. Yes, he will float you with overcards some of the time but he will mostly have overpairs, sets, pair+draw or just a OESD. This turn changes very little and he will continue to call you with a lot of these holdings. The overbet OTR has to work way to often to be profitable vs his range IMO. It also polarizes your range and looks very much like a desperate attempt to buy the pot otr. A competent opponent will know that you probably would bet somewhere arround 50-70% pot w nuts here.
Just check-fold OTT.

Vs what seems like a passive fish I dont think that folding ott is a huge misstake. However he will often do this with Ace of spades because he loves making the nut flush and he wants to set his own price to see the river. Im calling turn and any non-spade river lower than 7 if he makes it 1/2 pot or less.

I think we have to give an unknown a wider range here ott, even if he holds a overpair a very often with this bet size.

Thanks for your feedback. I agree, a small bet to give him the chance to make a misstake with a marginal hand.

It feels like a check-fold to me otr. I would say that its way more common for a rec. player / maniac to overvalue Th-Qh here than turning his Ax or other random PPs into bluffs when you check. I also like the idea of blockbetting 1/4 of the pot in this spot, this type of player will often see it as a valuebet that is looking for calls from small hearts and you will often fold out anything but broadway hearts.

Table selection is problably the single most important skill as long as you dont have any huge leaks in your game. Be dicipined about playing vs bad players and make good decisions.

+1 on dodgybobs strategy, I use the exact same one and it works well for me. I had a problem in the past with playing 1 or maybe 2 sessions every other month that pretty much destroyed my results where I lost from 6-10 BI, cashed out and said that I would never be playing poker again. I dont know if you recoginze this behavior but here are two tips that has helped me a lot:
Play short sessions: Set a time limit on your sessions, my limit is 90 min. This helps me to focus on playing my A-game more often and it will also prevent tilt. I dont like to think so much about how many hands I play every month, instead I focus on playing when Im well rested and motivated to play my very best.
Stop loss: I use a 3 bi stop loss. If you always stick to your stop loss strategy you will never have those nightmare sessions where you lose to much and consider quitting poker and buying something nice for the little bit of money you still got left in your poker account. Be VERY strict with your stop loss and combine it with a less aggressive BRM-strategy.

Thank you guys. I like 5b - get it in since he will spew some of the time. 5betting NAI also looks a little stronger which could give us some extra FE?

Nice video Felipe. I really like the live play videos so please make more of them! Would you mind explaining the stats in your HUD?

We have no stats/reads but we are certain that he is a whale? I would say that calling turn is ok given his small sizing but I would fold to 3/4 pot, easy fold otr.

If you think about your range I would say that it looks like a lot of pocket pairs that wants to se a showdown. If he's any good he will recognise this and put preasure on you just like this. Since we dont have any hands/reads on him Ill just default to how high up in our range we are and snap call.
