I really enjoyed watching this video. I appreciate the depth of c-betting on the various flop textures. If you continue with the analysis of the rest of the play, please could you look into 3-betting ranges vs mr opens, and pot sized opens including by position as you did using the opening chart at the beginning of the video. A general strategy for flop textures in these post flop situations would be fantastic as well.

I just purchased the course and I've only watched a few videos - made a couple of notes. However, I find it very detailed and with the discount on offer - a very good place to start developing an understanding of the variant especially if you are coming from a NLH background. I hope this helps.

I think the preflop play is good/standard we want to play big pots in position. On flop I would consider betting a third as range, because sometimes the opponent will fold hands with reasonable equity, as we are in position we have the opportunity to evaluate on the turn and control the size of the pot. As played I would call the turn as our AAxx without hearts is a little face up and the opponent can bet a wide range on the assuming we fold, or even 2 pair holdings that bet for protection. On river it's close but given that there are 4 hearts and we have the Jh we should call with this combo more than without any hearts and your AAxx combos don't often show up with a straight here. We should also consider how likely the opponent is to bluff the A of H - we need to be right 41.78% (I hope I calculated this correctly) of the time for the call to be profitable.

Hi Kaczanga88,
I think Button vs BB is a spot where you have a much wider range. This combo as a triple barrel for me would have more credibility when you open from UTG or MP i.e. you might find yourself over bluffing this spot. I too would C bet this flop and barrel turn only if the opponent was continuing with any piece and may have a weak turn range. I definitely would not bluff the river.

Hi Emty,
I appreciate your input on the hand. I primarily play 25 PLO with a win rate of 5bb over 26k hands and little bit of 50 PLO. I think that this course would benefit me tremendously as I am transitioning from NLH. At the moment I have little knowledge of 3 bet strategy or C betting strategy I basically make it up from NLH and few PLO live videos I've watched + some in game adjustments. As my bankroll is low (i.e. I use the cashout option on stars to limit variance/avoid giving up). I have seen the first 2 videos, and since I don't have a large amount of time to dedicate to poker I will have to slow through the course. Is there going to be a Black Friday sale? I have signed up to the first 50 option. If not then I will grow my bankroll to a point that I can buy the course

Paul I really appreciate your input. I've got some work to put in - hopefully I can keep posting hands, and keep improving especially with bet sizing (which I am not sure where to start) I'm in the process of considering purchasing from the ground up PLO. Your thoughts on the course? Unfortunately I only get through around 13K hands a month (Zoom). So, I am not sure I'll be able to get the most out of it with this output.

Many thanks Paul - On the flop I decided to size up based on board texture and my position being UTG - it's a bit random why I do this. Sometimes I choose 1/3, 1/2 pot or 75%+. On the turn I was thinking root 1 I think a lot hands will bet here at 25 PLO would bet through my experience, and may even stack off (KKQx JJQx AKQx) with a straight which I would dominate due to my redraws. However, betting on the turn does allow me to get value from hands such AK & AJ combos that may wish to check behind.

This was a real eye opener, as I have been through these cycles multiple times over the short, medium and long term over the years. So thanks for making me look into the proverbial mirror. P.S I ate the cat. Girlfriend got mad and FINALLY left = sufficient reasoning (just kidding guys).
Cheers and I appreciate the consistent feedback. The check if my default play in this spot, but was a after a long session/day. I should quit before this hand - although always knocks down the ego when you torture a hand :-)
