It is actually more simpler than you think and that these guys are saying. There is one Key point in your post that I would like to address and that is 'Zoning out'!
Zoning out is your worst enemy in poker! Now, before you attack me, that you already knew this, take time to really address this issue.
Zoning out is the opposite of ''living in the now'' and accepting your current state.
If you are zoning out really often while playing it could cause a lot of issues in your play.
When you know you've ''zoned out'' quit playing!!
I usually zone out when I don't have a clear picture on players leaks and how to exploit them, so working on your game constantly will actually have a huge impact in keeping track of your play, keeping you focused an ''IN THE NOW'', not zoning your lame ass ;)

One basic principle that I use when trying to manage my state of mind is ''living in the now''.
Playing only low stakes PLO hu enables me to keep playing only when I am feeling really good and, after all I know I can get action anytime I want. This way I might be quitting a really bad player sometimes that is running hot on me, without the fear of him leaving and dumping my chips to someone else.
Now, this is something high stakes players usually can't afford as they are not guaranteed to find another bad player to soon. I often hear of all nighter sessions from mid and high stakes friends that just want their money back from a horrid player which if they quit will hardly ever play again with.
''Living in the now'' means quitting if you feel you are not in your ''A'' game and not thinking; 'What if I quit him and he spewes somwhere else?!'
Actually the 'what if' question is my trigger to stop and move on.
If I start questioning myself mid game then it is time to quit, rest and analyze.
But that's the advantage of playing low stakes, I know.

Thanks everyone for an opportunity to give your thoughts even in the low stakes forum. I am so happy to be able to read such quality replies.

My question is can you fire another bullet vs villain that folds 50% to F/Cb?
I hate it when the board pairs on the river if I check and he turns direction and bets in to me. So, maybe another barrel on the turn can avoid this.
Or do I just give up on? :/

I wonder if you can find a person that has such expertise to coach on mind management and self control.
Dec. 14, 2012 | 2:41 a.m.
I totally agree with Sam. Every play here is marginal even with reads and I would almost never have the same line as I beleive it can be played profitabily in a lot of ways including cf to induce bluffs later on. Actually cf is a lot like flatting the cr here.
The only thing I would never do is 3bet flop as his stackoff range is too strong and there is no need to protect top two agains all other draws as it reduces its equity sustantially and you can control the pot position wise.

Ok, I guess rippin PRE will turn my hand face up but it will get me some folds as well. In an even deeper play, sometimes he might flat my 5bet and I will still be in OOP deep.
Yes, his turn play is horrid but he played good until this.
c/r turn here would be to get a call from the rundowns he might have 4bet with and than turned into bluff on an A high board.
Feel free to tell me I am a pshycho :) and not an optimist!

Now he does rep a tone of times top set in 4bet pots but he seemd like an aggressive reg and we are very deep, so I think his 4betin range is wider than it seems and so I call thinking he does not have either a set of 77 nor 22 that often as well. Mostly likely he is 4betting rundowns if its not AA.

I would have shoved any card, this just made it easier. No scare cards can come on turn so I would jam any turn and never lead it cause if he is repping AA he will always CBet turn as well.

I envy you in having such a great work atmosphere and I believe enthusiasm for Poker is crucial to success in this vertical. The greatest base obstacle is software development as everything is connected and each idea afterwards in regards to marketing, UX, bonuses will be either possible or dismissed whether the software would allow for prompt integration. Afterwards it’s licensing and regulation that presents the greatest challenge.
I can identify with the challenges your team will be going through this year in launching a Poker site as we are starting with a locally regulated standalone network next week after two years of development.
So, same as you, I am betting that Poker is not in decline and that there exist different models and approaches for the Poker player.
I wish you all the best in 2017. and a strong sprint to the finish line!!
