It's weird that he only calls your reraise on the flop and then lead on a very dry card on the turn instead of lettig you bet. It feels like he has JJ or KQ. He is either betting small on turn to make you shove or getting a better price to draw.

I feel like J9 will get it in on the flop. His stats indicates that he is a fish and I know they like to donk draws. I don't think I'm folding this hand but I'm not to happy about calling!

Given that he has 100% 3bet so far and now 4 bets you makes me think that he is empty 90% of the time when he checks both turn and river. I would bet something like 13$ on the river to get him a good price to bluff shove or maybe tilt call with smaller pockets, A high or a jack.

His play makes sense if he has a 10 tho because your hand is a little bit disguised and when you check turn it looks more like you are on a draw than a pair. So lets say that you had KQ, that would probably be a shove on the river if he checks to you?

Anyway, i think kings are to strong to check river with!

Yeah I agree with you, soooo much gibberish between the interesting stuff!

I would call and here is why: You got JJ blockers and the flushdraw missed. I suspect him to bet his missed flushdraws alot and he only bets 1/2 pot. The problem with this hand is that you cant really put the villian on a particular hand because your small bet sizing preflop. Most players use this sizing (3x) and I think BB is calling here with alot of weird hands. So try rasing 4x in these spots. I think it makes the hand much easier to play.

This is a spot where I would just go: "Ohh whatever" and call and not care much about it. He might have a missed spade draw like 87 of spades and realise that the only way he can win this pot is by betting. He could also have Kx of spades. The downside of playing fish is sometimes they wake up with hands that you never EVER put him on! =)

Maybe I just said obvious stuff but whatever =) Looking forward to see how the hand turned out!

Svenskaspel? I definitely think its the right play! I don't think he's ever calling you on turn with worse than an A. And if you check the river he will most likely check weak aces and push slowplayed sets, maybe slowplayed twopairs or A10.

You got the 87 blockers so that's an very important factor in this decision. It narrows down his range and the only hands you probably get beat by is 33 or A10. He might call flop and turn with 45 of clubs, it depends on how villian is playing overall really.

One thing I would like to know is how many hands do you have on him and how much 3bet% do you have on SB! And if you check to him on river and he goes all in, do you call? I think he makes this play with a hand like AQ, well it actually depends on how he's been playing in previous hands! So a little bit more information about our opponent would be great (Call 3bet from SB on BN etc)! =)

Just ask if something is unclear! =)

Hand History | Robin Richardsson posted in NLHE: Slowplay or no slowplay?
SB: $0 (Hero)
BB: $320.91
UTG: $424.65
HJ: $1239.58
CO: $408.45
BN: $400
I don't know why the name of the players are named "hero". This is a 5-max game and the "SB: $0 (Hero)" does not exist, it just appears there when I upload the hand... Well anyways i hope you can see whats going on anyway =) .

Otherwise here it goes: I raise from UTG with 78 suited. BN and BB calls. BB checks and i bet out 14$ into a 22$ pot.
BN calls and BB folds. Turn is a Kh which gives me the flushdraw so i bet out again, 36$ into 50$ and BN calls. River is 4h and I hit my flush and bet out 90$ into 122$ and BN goes all in for 343$.

He's playing 27/23 with 8,0 3bet and got 4,0 3bet on button (1,2k hands) . I can't remember him doing this kind of play before. He plays pretty standard overall I think. I'm an aggressive player with 28/22 9,8 3bet and 14,9 4bet on 15k hands.
I guess the only hands I beat is A10 or bluffs. I simply put him on a slowplayed hand like 66, 1010 or K10. I guess he could have A10 with like an A heartblocker, but also turn a hand like A6 or 99 into a bluff ( 77 88 are probably less likely with my blockers ). So bring me your thoughts please!
