background: $700entry fee / around 60left out of 674 entries / Thankfully, we are ITM.
UTG: Young Chinese guy. Saw him open shoving for +20bb @EP (hand was not shown). Seems like he has some kind of push/fold strategy on his mind, but...
UTG open shoves for 15bb @utg. we have 30bb@mp w/ 99
3players in later positions HJ CO SB have me covered.
Here are some arguments on my mind.
Fold: I'm pretty sure the hand itself vs UTG only is +EV spot. but, we still have healthy stack to compete and the field is soft.
Call/Folds to a shove: I assume players behind me w/ marginal hand can reshove (AQ, TT, JJ, QQ). In case they cover me, the pot is total of 62bb and we have to call for another 15bb. So. we have 1:4 immediate odds and we need 20% equity to win. If we fold, we can still compete on this soft field.
Reshove: we can push off TT I believe. AQ/JJ could be pushed off(I'm not sure). Very nitty players could fold?
What's your decision on this spot?

Let's assume that we open BU and BB or SB calls with certain ranges.
And the board comes Ks 9d 5c for example.
According to [APPS. of poker], BU should have the same betting frequency regardless of opponent's range.
But, if I set IP's range and compare two results of vs.SB and vs.BB's ranges in PIOSOLVER, our IP betting frequency is severely different.
Does anyone know why?

I heard,
US=bovada
Canada=bodog
China, Vietnam=bodog88
is this true and are there any other places you can play the same network???

Hello, RIO
I was playing FR NLHE exclusively last year and profited the most on the site that I was playing.
This yr, I switched to PLO and mostly played at Bovada and grinded from 100PLO to 400PLO and can't play there anymore because I moved to South Korea in the end of September.
Then, deposited stars+888+ipoker and grinding 10ZOOM (bc i'm scared of stars) 25PLO, 50PLO.
Over 20 days, I lost -40BI as a net and EV shows -10BI at the micro. The total is around -50BI downswing because I was winning ~10BI on the first two days.
I've been studying during the downswing and coached from some1 that I trusted too (utilizing PPT/Pokerjuice) and realize I have lots of leaks on my game. But, downswing doesnt stop
Finally I'm scared and can't believe 200PLO winner from BOVADA can't beat micro stakes on bigger sites.
Any experience/advice will be very thankful.

don't open pre
it's likely to go multiway and our hand is often dominated multiway.
Oct. 15, 2015 | 7:53 a.m.
I think you should bet small this turn and bomb the river if the board's not pairing vs a tight opponent.
Oct. 15, 2015 | 7:49 a.m.
if villain is a really tight player, you can consider folding with because it's ss and has a top gap and 3 other players behind who can easily dominate us.
if he opens over 20 here, i think it's a 3bet.
Oct. 15, 2015 | 7:45 a.m.
depends on the type of villain, but when we bet OTT, most of draws will fold and the bottom of villain's range is Qxxx.
You are also blocking drawing hands, so it's unlikely that he has drawing hands on his hand and betting 1/3 OTT will do the work here.
If you wanna bet this river, you should consider how often villian will fold out Qxxx / JJ vs us on this spot.
Oct. 15, 2015 | 7:42 a.m.
first of all, we are very unlikely to chop this pot vs villain.
I think the chance that villain holds when we have AA in our hand is around 0.64%?
(am I right?)
his open/call range has lots of 9 on his range and we showed an aggression on all streets.
I would probably just fold.
Oct. 15, 2015 | 7:35 a.m.
I think you should 3bet with little better hands than QJ59ds when this deep.
btw, we do not rep anything OTR.
Oct. 12, 2015 | 6:40 p.m.
i dont like i(call) because it will give odds to call for BU when he has FD or wraps and we need lots of protection here.
i don't like ii(raising small) because it still gives odds to call for SB with anything vs our range. but I like this option when we have good wrap+NFD and stuff.
also i think he has more draws than sets because we block 88/TT and SB's calling range vs BU open does not include many 22/55 if he's a reg.
I like pot/call.
Oct. 12, 2015 | 6:37 p.m.
fold pre vs utg open.
+EV to call vs his 4bet after 3betting
i think you can do various things OTF.
out of all, i like betting 1/3 and folding here.
Oct. 12, 2015 | 6:30 p.m.
fold pre. PSB OTT. x/f OTR.
May 2, 2015 | 7:09 p.m.
it really isnt....
April 10, 2015 | 5:34 a.m.
i dont think any 567x combos continue OTT unless it includes some big hearts.
(sometimes they bet those hands OTF)
But, there are too many hands that can continue OTT. J9xx / 97xx / hearts etc. Because there aren't that many rivers that we are happy with it, I like PSB OTT and decide.
I think the river is very player dependent and we should always check villan's river stats. Especially, WTSD&river af.
if he has low river af and high WTSD, i would bet; otherwise, i would x/c.
April 4, 2015 | 3:11 a.m.
well played.
April 4, 2015 | 2:55 a.m.
seems fine&standard.
April 4, 2015 | 2:53 a.m.
fold pre?
I would bet this board even if facing reraise sucks.
As played,
I think CO's range is very capped as draw. people usually bet their made hands on this drawy board on the flop when pfr checks to him.
OTT, I would pot/call.
April 2, 2015 | 9:34 p.m.
I agree. This hand is just good to check back IP, then?
April 1, 2015 | 7:14 a.m.
i donk think he has sets here too often, especially when you are blocking top&bottom. so i would only worry if he has 96 here.
I feel like he has pair+wraps most of the time and you block some of his outs. i would gii here.
you might also wanna check how often he x/r on the flop.
April 1, 2015 | 3:41 a.m.
even if he is tight, you prolly wanna check his CO rfi stat.
I like 3bet/call 4bet here.
as played,
I kinda like x/r around 2.5x w/ any hands on low paired boards because it's very unlikely he has 3 on his hand(given that he is tight as 12) and i think you can print money here.
April 1, 2015 | 3:37 a.m.
yeah I was basically wondering how much single blocker/BDFH/BDFD are worth when we are fully committed.
btw, im noll from pokergosu. nice to see you here lol.
April 1, 2015 | 3:32 a.m.
Hello, Are you Haru from pokergosu.com??
Anyways, all those math sound very interesting and I'm learning a lot from your thorough analysis.
1) When you pot here and 2 opponents gii, do we have enough equity to call it off? we are highly likely to be against 45(even if we block a 4) and looking for runner-runner FH / back-door flush.
seems like bet small/fold is the most reasonable option after reading your analysis.
March 31, 2015 | 6:09 p.m.
Thx, first of all.
I wouldnt bloat the pot w/ weak KKxx hands, but I this KKQ4ds is too strong to flat imo? Yes, it doesn't have good play-ability, so i think it's kinda boarder-line.do you still flat this hand if UTG is opening 25+?
it seems really interesting when flop comes Axx whether we have FD or not. On dry A high board, I think we can bet like 1/4 and fold to raise. On drawy A high board, I think we should x/f as default?
March 31, 2015 | 5:59 p.m.
Hello RIO,
I wonder what's the standard play here.
Hero has KKQ4ccss
100bb effective, new to the table
utg opens 3bb,
CO calls,
BU calls,
hero squeezes to 16bb,
utg calls,
CO folds,
BU calls.
FLOP ($52) 6s 3h 7d
Hero($83) ????
i feel like I can't bet/fold here vs 1 opponent (especially w/ 4 blocker)
but should we bet fold vs 2ppl?
And, what should be the bet-sizing?

hh
Jan. 20, 2015 | 11:31 p.m.
I exported HH from HM2 as txt file and tried to post it.
But when I paste it under PLO HH in RIO and click "post" , I see a "prohibition mark" and cannot upload it.
Can anybody help?
Jan. 2, 2015 | 4:30 a.m.
I think your preflop hand selection is little too tight.
But, it might be the good video for the starters.
Jan. 1, 2015 | 11:07 p.m.
yeah I was lost with him playing 3 tables at some points also.
is your sn the same on merge? thx for a recognition anyways.
yeah, i still play FR when plo games dont open but the game is not as profitable as before.
you helped.
