I, too, prefer LIVE over online.

I, too, lack a proper bankroll for London games.

So take what I'm about to say w/ a grain of SALT.

First of all, in terms of games, Aspers in Stratford has a BUNCH of £1/£1 games running and I believe Empire on occasion runs £1/£1 if there's demand for it. Do not however that at Empire it quite frequently goes CRAZY if certain maniac Chinese whales decide to get in the mix (as I'm sure you're aware) so it can often play like £2/£5 but short stacked (I think their max buyin is £300?).

As far as STRATEGY - and please confirm this w/ any live pro you find - in my HUMBLE experience the VAST majority of your winnings will come from VALUE and relatively THIN VALUE. Live low stakes recs HATE folding and many tend to prefer to call anyway just so they see the bad news rather than fold and NOT KNOW.

That being said I GIGA ENDORSE what the prev user suggested.

I am a - how you say - BAD poker player...

However I am rather PASSIONATE about the game and have, in my OLD age (I am 37 year OLD MAN - although I prefer CLASSIC MAN), decided to give playing part time (for profit exclusively, not fun or rec reasons) live low stakes a GO (once I have an adequate bankroll).

As such, you can imagine my delight at discovering your thread here.

I must CONFESS, I am NOT Americkan myself and am therefore BURDENED with the prospect of playing in YUROP. Just KIDDING Germans you know I love you ( <3 ).

But so YES, where was I? Ah yes, LIVE CASH GAMES. I would take a live low stakes cash game above an online game ANY DAY of the ROMAN CATHOLIC GOD'S week. I suppose I can't articulate exactly WHY, but I've always been much more attracted to/ loved LIVE POKER as opposed to its ONLINE DORK COUSIN (no offense to ANYONE : I spek w/ LOVE in my <3). To be clear I'd make this choice even assuming the games were equally profitable in terms of player strategy/ knowledge - obviously in the live game you'd have quite a bit of extra information which would suggest that all else being equal, you'd still have more of an edge.

Now here's SOMETHING that has always BOTHERED me. Guys who are clearly, obviously ASPIRING PROS and yet are COMPLETELY oblivious to just how BAD for the game their attitude is. Let us suppose player X (aspiring/ actual pro, it does not particularly matter) is BY FAR the best player at the table. He has a MASSIVE edge. Let us further suppose he isn't a particularly GREGARIOUS or OUTGOING individual. He can STILL (and I would argue indeed SHOULD) be AFFABLE/ polite etc. How is it possible for our player X to just almost (subconsciously or otherwise) try to RUIN his own game that he crushers for a lot of EUROS. You don't need to be a FAKE NICE or anything but just how do you think being ARROGANT and on occasion downright RUDE to recs is GOOD? Like, why would you want to scare off the whales? Ofc they'll want to play at MY table because I am POKERMAN and I make a little JOKE w/ people and talk about POLITIKS and such thing. I discuss MAKEUP and things like "take my wife, please!".

So, in conclusion, may the gods grant your HAWKS the STRENGTH and POWER of a THOUSAND MEN o7.
