I like very much your arguments ben !
I was afraid that our checkCalling range was too weak, but we have some AJ combo and some (weaker) FD which is sufficient to protect our TT, 99 turn/river.

You say that the best play here is CR.
Can you explain more in detail why ?
The merits of check/call are :
-> we have a bluff catcher and i don't see a lot of better combo in the vilain range that will fold (TT,99,JTs,QJs,?), and he might checks back these hands on the flop or doesn't 3b them PF
-> vilain will barrel on aces/spaces turn/river.
I dont' understand why CR is better, excepted for balancing w/ JJ,88,QQ, but if you CR that combos,your check/calling range get capped,and you will have to fold a lot turn/river faces agression.
