You need 28% equity to call the all-in jam on the flop. In given situation you had only 8.9%. You can call if you are SURE that noone has 2 pair or a set, which is probably never true. So you have to fold the flop.

When you 4B I guess you are never folding to a shove (100bb deep).
When you say: "I almost always 4b with it (JJ)". So when you don't 4B do you fold JJ to a 3B OOP? It looks superweak, but like you said JJ is hard to play OOP in 3B pots, even more so if villains range is super strong. I am asking this because I am also struggilng with JJ when I flat a 3B oop, so I am looking for alternatives.

Also what would a basic PLO HUD look like?
Feb. 3, 2014 | 11 p.m.
Thanks for the answers. My roll is probably big enough for PLO50 but I don't think I can battle with that playerpool yet. I am an elite member (and will be for at least one more month). That Coldwell video looks promising.
What would you recommend, regular tables or zoom?
Feb. 3, 2014 | 10:06 p.m.
Hey,
I have been playing 6max NLHE for quite some time now. I used to play (and beat) 1/2, but lately I have been mainly breaking even / loosing. Now I am interested in mixing things up a bit by playing PLO. I have close to zero PLO experience (probably played less than 2k PLO hands in my life). So my questions are:
1) Which stakes do you recommend for me?
2) What kind of bankroll should I have?
3) What videos should I watch here?
Thanks!

I think he definitely value bets some strong kings here and QJ, which you beat. As for his bluffing range I can definitely see him having some AhXx, maybe even QhXx.
Theory wise you should call here with 58% of your range. If this is an estimate of your range on the river:
Full house: KT, K3s (6 combos)
Flush: Ah9h - Ah2h, QhJh, Qh9h - Qh5h, JhTh - Jh7h, Th9h - Th7h, 9h8h - 9h6h, 8h7h - 8h5h, 7h6h, 7h5h, 6h5h, 6h4h, 5h4h, 5h3h, 4h3h (28 combos, 26 of them better flushes than 6h5h)
Straight: QJ not hearts (15 combos)
Trips: K2s-K9s, K7o, K8o, K9o, KJo (40 combos)
Busted nut flush draws: Ah2x - Ah9x (24 combos)
In total you have 113 combos, and 58% of that is 66. So theory wise you have to call even with some of the better trips in your range here (if I am not mistaken in my calculations that is :)).

Like you said, you have to call hrem he can be value betting worse and he surely has some bluffs in his range. Why do you think he is never bluffing here?
Jan. 24, 2014 | 9:04 a.m.
I usually go for around 150% pot.
Read the following sentences with scepticism, since I am not sure they are correct :). Maybe someone that knows a bit more about GTO can validate them: I think that the higher you go the more your range can be weighted towards bluffs. If you go for 150% pot villain has to defend 60% of his range. From my experience in such spots they usually fold way too much (at least on 05/1 and 1/2 6 max).
Jan. 23, 2014 | 3:28 p.m.
"My default here is to normally fold but I decided to flat given the open was to 5BB and BB is a fish."
I think you made a typo here, his open is to 2.5BB right? Yeah preflop call is fine in that case.
I don't lead flop, simply because I don't have a donking range in HU pots. I like your turn overbet, but I would also overbet the river. I have been getting good results with overbetting versus capped ranges lately, even tough I feel like I am slightly unbalanced towards bluffs in such spots.

I agree with BigFiszh. Versus this guy I'd also have a hard time folding AQ here.
I have one noob question though. I am just getting into the game theory stuff so I guess you got the 53% from (159.31 / (159.31+179.78)) = 0.47 (which is our fold percentage) and then obviously 1 - 0.47 = 0.53 is our defend percentage right?

iPoker should reopen, because if you are playing speed 1 table out of 4 reopens and you get a message that the tables successfully reopened.
Jan. 22, 2014 | 8:06 p.m.
I used to play on iPoker for the last couple of months, because I got a sick rakeback/bonus deal, but the games are tougher then on stars (clost to 0 fish), and the software is crappy (random disconnects, crashes, tables don't reopen after crashes, ...). So I am back on stars for the time being. I think that games got better on stars after they started supporting phones/tablets.

Yeah its not big, I am just reporting a bug :).

When I remove a video from a playlist the counter that shows the number of items in the playlist does not decrease. For example the text on the left side of playlist says: "Your Video Playlist (8)", I remove an item, the item gets removed but the counter remains at 8.
On a similar note I would like to say that the guys that are developing this webpage are really good. The whole user experience is really amazing - both the functionality and design are top notch. And I know a bit about those things since I teach web technologies at a university.

That was my reasoning also + a MP open and 3B call OOP range should not contain many Tx hands right?

2nd hand (A9o), you say that you check back here all your air and then some weaker Kx and low spades (so your range is quite capped). Don't you feel that good regs can exploit this by betting turn and jamming river, since almost everything in your check back range cannot call him down (except something like K7).
Great video btw.

I was also considering this, but what are we really repping?
Dec. 21, 2013 | 2:22 p.m.
Sorry to all the guys that are interested, but the group is quite big right now and if there are too many members things get a bit messy, so I think that for the sake of the group it is better if I don't add new "members".
I see there is still a lot of interest so maybe someone can organise another group?
Dec. 20, 2013 | 10:52 a.m.
He is not repping much, but from my experience (I played ton of NL 200 and 400 in this year) this line is almost never a bluff so I fold (since we are basically bluff catching with KK).
Dec. 19, 2013 | 12:53 p.m.
Yeah I noticed that now sorry for my mistake :).

Neither do I :). I was just pointing out that in that case you have to go all the way.
Dec. 18, 2013 | 2:47 p.m.
Like I said I don't have a leading range either. I guess we could balance this by leading some flush draws, but when we lead this turn I think it is mandatory to jam almost any river (both with our Jx and with our flushes/busted flush draws).
Dec. 18, 2013 | 1:49 p.m.
I don't like it. J and K hit his range more than they hit yours, plus you are not really representing much with the river jam. And you said yourself the he is on the cally side.
I just take my showdown value and check this behind.
Dec. 18, 2013 | 11:59 a.m.
I think its fine, I play this the same way a lot. And I usually get called up quite light.
Hi, how can I queue course videos into the Run It Once app? In one of the posts above you said this is possible, but I cannot find the appropriate button (the button is easy to find with regular videos though). Thanks!
