I don't mind having 3bet or flatting ranges if you are masterful enough to be precise with narrow ranges. That being said, 99 is not your hyperpolarized 3betting hand nor does it love taking flops at this stack depth, this is not a set-mining stackdepth and youll basically be crying on most flops. It's a pure jam.

You could rent it by the hour if your usage is less, there are definitely options for that. Contabo is the go-to for server renting for poker, but you may want to check out competitors for by-the-hour pricing.

It would depend on the field sizes really. If I have to guestimate a formula It'll look something like the following:

Avg Field size(A) = x * (10^y) e.g avg field size of 300, then A=300= 3* (10^2) so y=2
Sample required = A * (y^2) so for 300 it's 300*(2^2) =1200

This is not divine mathematical truth, there are more parameters you need to define but it'll give you a reasonable estimate of what you need.

4x might be the lowest sizing that wont be defended versus if we must answer why the 4x benchmark and not others. Although no one will party if you make it 3.5x either.

The advantage is that if there is not a major collision going on, with the 4x open you're denying fold equity to aggressive rejams unless you want a naked AA in your range which can't be a good idea. Also, you don't want the BB to flat cheap vs 2.12bb, since the aftermath of this is often playing for stacks especially given the low SPR , or just being lord of the Ev losing NITs.
The 4x accomplishes the same as a 7.9x (keeping fold possiblities in extreme situations), so why not save more in that necessary evil situation.

It's a pure call. I'd 3bet if I had an A blocker with the KK. Despite top heavy structure ICM implications are heavy, and unlike NLH, equities run super close in PLO.

IP 30BB, think hands like TT. OOP 40BB, think hands like KQ,AQ.

While it is bizzare, to think that it should NEVER be done is just a premise to missing out potential value. While I've seen analysis of FTs where some top pros do this, there is no indepth strategy discussion. If I have to theorize though I would say that it most likely applies to situations where the bigger stack(s) are so far ahead of you that chances of shipping are low. So ICM is our main source of making money, through payjumps. and you are possibly going to run into a spot where you can likely win a payjump if multiple stacks go in,and you fold to lose a part of your winning chances and it's okay cause it was low anyway, but gain a substantial $ev. Basically, losing 50% of a 100$EV(shipping EV) might be okay if you gain 25% of a 500$EV(payjump EV). Of course, getting those exact numbers is a completely different ballgame, but that's the idea.

JJ doesn't play especially well postflop, jamming is higher EV. I think that particular hand is a clear jam. The adjustment you might want to make given he is a LAG is to pure jam TT rather than mix and pure call AA rather than mix.
