Hello Nick,
Ideologically, I am a big fan of the concept you were talking about: Lower variance plays, which preserve your mental muscles for future decisions/plays and even being willing to sacrifice some EV for it. Especially good concept for does of us who need very little for Mr. Hyde to take over..
After watching the video I am a bit afraid one can become too passive and start avoiding variance even though the higher variance play might clearly be the correct one.
In a vacuum: Let's say we 3b a reg and go for 3-barrels bluff and he calls us down with a hero call. Generally, you know this is probably the best play (data points: he is too loose, calls flops and turns too much, range adv. etc.) but even if that is the case this doesn't help your mental stability for future pots..
What am I trying to ask is: you were mostly focused on the folds in the last two videos and not so much on bets/aggression, so do you have any thoughts on that?
Thanks
PS: Does anyone know if there are more straddle vids available on RIO?

Hey Kevin,
great stuff, finally some HU :)
19:13 You said you want to c/f the river with a str8. Can we please talk about this spot a bit more.
Aren't you folding too much if you fold a 6high str8 here with so much in the pot. I agree his most likely shoving hand will be a 6, flushes and 76-especially when you check the river( I guess you never play a flush with a check on the river so he has nothing to worry about), but probably he has some bluffing combos as well- something like Q 7 with a Qh, maybe even Jh 7. K on the river takes away Kh 7 out of his bluffing range since he will probably check it.
Guess its just math (which I am not very good at it :) ), but my instinct tells me its a check/call.
Hey Era7er,
I became a big fan of your videos lately, cool stuff!
I have a question regarding pocket pairs: 27:47, you folded 44 on the button... I suppose the purple marked players are good regs(?) and you have two potential squeezers behind you so probably a fold is best.
What would you do if you were 200deep with initial raiser? What would you do if the BB was a fish? What would you do if the initial raiser was a fish but only 100bb deep? How would this situation change if you had 22-66 since I guess you need to do something with 77?! A lot of questions :)
I appreciate your answers,
Thanks,
take care
