Playing $1/2/5 Dealers Choice 7 handed. We are playing Dramaha Hi. It’s a split pot game where you play the best 5 card hand in your hand and PLO on the board. You can discard up to 3 cards after a round of betting on the flop.
V1 opens $10 UTG, V2 calls in CO, I’m in SB with KKKJ5 (no clubs) I make it $35, V3 calls in the BB. The rest call and we go 4 way to the flop. V1, a regular and plays pretty tight, starts the hand with $1500. V2 and V3 (each start the hand with $410) both are bad players and are playing this for the first time but understand the game. I have everyone covered. Pot $140
Flop: QT5cch
I bet $125. Everyone calls
I declare 1 and discard the 5, V2 declares 2, V1 stays pat (wtfff), V3 declares 2. I draw the Ts
Pot $515
Turn: 7s
I bet $225, V3 jams for $250, V1 calls, V2 calls, I call the $25 more.
Main pot $1190
Side pot $50
River: 5d
What should I be doing on river? Bet for value? Check call? V1 staying pat really through me off. What hands do I beat that he stayed pat with? I feel like if I’m V1 I play it the same way and stay pat with all my made hands like straights or better to pull the field in. I’m relatively new to Dealers Choice games and just not sure what I should have done on turn and river.
This is awesome! I’ve been wanting to be a part of something like this. I mainly play live $1/2/5 and $5/5 plo. Are these the stakes that you are looking for? If so I can start writing down HH to share.
