Checking flop is good, protects your checking range and you will get so many folds anyways.
On the turn I would slow play. For him to bet flop and turn he must have some sort of hand that wants to build a pot or he is bluffing. If he wants to build a pot he will most likely be betting river as well and if he is bluffing (which is most likely because there are not a lot of strong combos he can have) you want to keep him in. I would like to see the suits though. I assume that its a rainbow flop because you didn't keep it in.
