QsT62s BB vs BTN steal 13bb effective seems a bit loose to defend
(Not playing much 10bb effective so assuming high suit weak disconnected hands go up in value in this specific spot vs BTN range steal to justify it)

24:51
KdQd8s2s BTN steal | very close spot as well but would rather limp before I fold and probably raise depending on the blinds.

Thanks for the video - been grinding alot lately :)

Love what you said about finding the small edges being very important for overall profit over a large sample in these types of games!

Also like how you explained why you never 1/3 bet the river IP

Great video

Everyone would be all in every hand if you were all the players

Was great to have Tyler on and get to know more about him. As I said in the podcast, he is one of my favorite people to watch here on Run it Once. I look forward to a trip to Montana at some point to do Montana type of things with family man Forrester.

I'm glad that you guys enjoyed it

If you are looking for in depth academic intellectual discussion I can see why you would question the legitimacy of any reviews.

Aug. 18, 2015 | 12:12 p.m.

Some harsh comments in this one. Just seeing them now :)

I really make the podcasts for myself to enjoy. I enjoy all of the conversations I have with people when they are on (most of them). Of course all conversations you have could be better. I'm sure I could have elaborated on a few things or talked more about this or less about that. Sauced seemed much more normal than I would have expected and I was enjoying be able to have a fun conversation with him.

I'm sure it could have been better for some to hear about academic/intellectual things, philosophy or in depth strategy but I am certainly not the person to have those discussions with him.

You weren't paying attention enough if you didn't find the spots interesting or be able to take something away from them :)

The specific hands from this video really don't matter much in regards to him only having the nuts but moreso trying to understand/think more about/think about for the 1st time the general idea and how/when/why to apply it/balance it which is the interesting thing to pay attention to in the video.

Alphaaaaaa :)

One of my favorite people to see at my table over the years :(

Your graph looks exactly how I envisioned it probably looked, straighttttttttt up. Really good post. I used to be a player who mixed NL/PLO at the same time but I found it was much much easier on my mind if I stuck to one at a time which than become not playing NL anymore at all. I don't think there is much of a reason for most people to be playing both at the same time in a session unless you are playing less than 6 games at once. I'm sure you have your reasons for why you enjoy doing this.

The religion you want to invent is actually a very common approach among people these days :) i love macd's once in awhile so I don't think I can ever be apart of such religion. One thing I have always wondered over the years is why you did not shot take more or get in and battle a bit more at the higher stakes. I always thought you would have done well game selecting or playing in a tougher games at 5/10 10/20 all those times we played 2/4 together.

Because you made such a long/great post I will share something nice and tell you that anytime over the past couple of years someone asked me who the better plo regs were you would always be near the top of that list (probably because out of 100k hands I never stacked you for 100bb+). Not everyone would agree with me when I told them though :)

Glgl :)

I really enjoy how you state with authority "its a fold" "this is an open"

When you say it I really believe that the only option is what you said. I've started doing it myself when playing, thank you!

You do know what they say about a guy who shows a 1.5mm graph at the beginning of his first training video where he decides to start teaching how to play NL in 2014 right?

March 6, 2014 | 9:26 a.m.

hahaha

What you might consider perfect play, others would consider bad play, its all subjective. Sometimes during a session you c/r in all the right spots and win a buyin in all the right spots, therefore it appears you played a "perfect" session. You sound like the type of person that I really hope plays PLO forever :)
