exras: I've always had a very good concept of the game and have excelled at numerous points in my life...I've also had some major shortcomings due the fact that I thought i was much superior than all of my opponents and that I use to tilt uncontrollably. I've spent a ton of time the last 2-3 months addressing this and hopefully it will carry over in my results when i return to play.
fun facts: -18th bday deposited 50 on party and 18 hours later had 15.5k
-21st bday played with Ivey for 6 hrs at wpt and he acknowledged i might be the white version of him(busted aa

I plan on making a decent sized deposit on a US based site to play mostly sngs and mtts with some 6max cash mixed in. Curious on thoughts about which site is best. I have accounts set up for Carbon, AC, and Bovada. My bankroll(initial deposit, however I am capable of reloading. Would still like to follow this amount for BR management) will be $1k. Current thoughts...bovada has quickest cashouts and good schedule but no HUD, AC seems to be softest field but not a fan of software or schedule(it seems to be getting better), Carbon has best software, decent games. Any input on things I may be missing out on(rakeback, new tourney structure, etc) would be appreciated. Deposit in 48 hrs!

What's up RIO crew. I recently(4 days ago) signed up for the esentiall membership and was hoping to get a bit of feedback/direction. I am a 28 year old male who has been playing poker(mostly recreationally) for a little over 10 years. I've always played mostly for entertainment purposes hoping to make a big score or run in up with little to no bankroll management. Even when i was able to do this(over 35k a few times) I never really valued the money and would take shots way way out of my skillset/BR. Since BF I have played a lot less and mostly played live 1/3 and 2/5. While even there I have been a winning player(underrolled) I've always either spewed money higher or spent money on things like vacations, family items, etc. I have played very little to almost no poker the past 6 months mostly bc my desire/enjoyment of gambling/being in a casino has left(I'm finally getting old thank god). However, my girlfriend and I recently found out we will be expecting our first child in late July 2015 so we are really trying to set future goals and what not. She is currently in nursing school and is pretty much a genius as she works 40 hours a week and still crushes school. I'm lucky to have a job that I can work an average of 25-35 hours a week and take home $700-$900. We live in an area of the US where cost of living is low so money is definitely something we are not worried about now that my lifestyle has changed dramatically. With my work schedule I would like to take poker more seriously(from an on-line perspective) as I have plenty of downtime. I have always considered myself a winning player and it is something I've always considered giving a real shot. I have a solid general understanding of most concepts but still lack the theories to plug leaks in my own game/find leaks in others. I plan on depositing 1-2k on a US based site(any extra info on this would also be helpful. I've heard positives and negatives for each). I plan on starting with NL10 6-max and sunday mtts. Hopefully I'll put in around 20-25 hours of play each weak along with another 8-10 studying. After a few days on this site I have come across very useful information that I already have a bunch of notes on but I find it to be very scattered at times...I'm having trouble finding a nice linear group of videos to help me progress from one theory to another or to take me more deeply into a specific. If anyone has suggestions on where I should start and what I should work towards that would be very helpful. Also any book ideas would be great. Have recently finished the mental game of poker, treat poker like a business, and am currently reading poker math that matters. Thank you for taking the time to read this mess and helping me out. If you have any questions about my poker past/knowledge let me know as it may be easier for you to give me advice.
Thanks again,
Jake
worked 19 hours the past two days so haven't been able to play much(mostly $2spins(jackpot poker on WPN). BR up from 486(the 500 in bitcoins i bought had depreciated before i bought in) to 525. Today is my day off so will be putting in at least 6 hours and hopefully 10-12 depending on the gf. Will be playing mostly .05/.10 6max, maybe some spins when volume of games are low and possibly some micro mtts.
