I understand and like this hypothetical questions that debbes raises.
I myself have recently started to question my habit to automatically rebuy in the 3,50+ SNG on Stars. I am struggeling with the following question:
Wouldn't it be smarter to not rebuy from the start, and thus giving yourself the opportunity to register like a factor 1.4 - 1.7 (wild guess) times as many of this as u normally would?
Generally in MTT's I always like to rebuy straight away. The main reason for this is that there are a lot of people doing it, so if u don't, you are in a way giving up on your chance to double up, a double stack, to way above average. This is even more +EV as most players, including solid regulars don't mind stacking of with the second nuts, flush draws with over(s), bottom sets etc as they can still rebuy anyway. (The difference to SNG's is that the same tournament is not starting every 10 minutes)
At this moment, If I am in these 3,50+ SNG's and reach the end of the rebuy period, and am able to rebuy because I failed in chipping up, I will do it, plus the Add On. This way I prevent myself from losing fold equity , which would be a bad strategy. But the question about immediatelly rebuying from the start remains.
Do u guys have any thoughts on this?
I watched your 25NL zoom video's on youtube and was pleasantly suprised to find you here on Runitonce. Keep up the good work!
