I don't know his PFR or VPIP, etc. but with what I have, I think based on CO's call on both the EP raise and then your re raise, and then his 1/2 pot bet, what does he have? QQ, KK, AA, Ax,KQs? Probably not a set, but I'm not sure he has less than JJ. What are you going to do if you bet the river and he 3 bets you? I'm definitely checking on the river.

I've been in the situation a few times recently and I think the most important questions are what was the average stack size and how many of the remaining players had stacks shorter than you? More often than not, I find I make the money by waiting for a better hand and not acting and letting 8 others try and improve their stacks and get knocked out.

Hi Phil,

I'm new here so will do my best. Near the end of V1, maybe second to last hand, Pads had T9o with close to 26.5m SB and Hitvil had K7o with almost 7.5m in BB. You said Pads should shove and Hitvil should call. Two questions, is the reason Pads should shove simply because he has so many chips heads up with what appears a hand in top 36% against someone with so few chips? But moreso, I don't see a HUD, but why should Hitvil so clearly call with a hand losing to 40% heads up, for his tournament life, other than he is down to 7BB? With a K7 off, I would probably wait another round for something in top 20%. Would love your thoughts. HEX

I think there are a lot of good comments above. Having some fear is normal and healthy, posting difficult spots on forums is smart, recognize you will face more aggression as you move up is right,, as well as playing on the level you have been on a portion of your time and new level a portion is smart. But I have two additions. One is make sure you are spending time studying, as well as playing, so you are always in the learning mode. And maybe as importantly, this is a great time to learn " bank management". If I have at least 40 buy ins for the new level, and maybe you need more, at the new level, I've found I can give myself comfort in knowing I have enough strength in dollars to not be bullied. When I am playing at the new the buy-in and there are two regs with more the 2x the buy in at that table, if I don't remember I have a big bank behind me, I can be intimidated. But when i remember, I have a lot more in my stack than the two of them can see, I have less fear, knowing I can simply add to my stack if I lose a hand.

I also don't understand after betting 4.50 pre flop, why you bet so small post flop?

Based on your description of the villian, he's got both top pair and a flush draw and is going to call your jam, no matter what. He doesn't care about 18% or anything. He's just doubled up on a miracle, so he's invincible. I'd suggest not flatting or jamming, but looking him up raising him 2x. You'll see him either fold, if he's sober enough, or he's calling. If he calls, then you know he probably is sticking with the hand and you saved dollars when the next diamond hits.

I think you got a good signal when you got 3 callers with your 3 bet pre flop. more info when you Cbet and got two callers, Either someone had a set or two pair. One pair with 2 such callers is rarely winning. I think you were smart in Xturn and X river

When SB 3 bet you preflop, without a lot of bluff history, he could have had anything from JJ-AA, as well as any KQ, AK, unless you believe he had air from the beginning. Not surprising if he had you crushed on the flop, that he would give you the chance to bluff at the pot so he could Ck raise. I give you 8% equity. Fold was right.
