Oh and the AK87ss - in my opinion this plays fine as a raise and is somewhat wasted as a limp jam but its impressive that you are even thinking in this direction on your first mtt! Im usually choosing combos that realize EQ more poorly than AK87ss. AK26r etc comes to mind in the unpaired hands category. We usually arent really unhappy to limp/raise to 9bb with a little bit behind or just get jammed on and call it off with AK high.

I play a lot of high-stakes PLO MTTs and have developed some theories of my own. Many of them are heavily influenced by concepts I learned from your books. For example, the QQJ3ss situation on the button makes a lot of sense to me as a limp. Our thinking aligns well when it comes to our raising range—ideally, we really want to have an ace in our hand.
I often extend this logic quite far and avoid PFR entirely in heavy ICM spots without an ace in my hand. This reminds me of your heads-up short-stack strategy, where we aim to play a very polar range. Calling 3-bets can be problematic since playing even in position almost always leads to getting jammed on, and we tend to underrealize our equity.
Aside from the price we're being laid (especially live with the BB ante), this also supports a limp because the SB and BB can't raise us lightly. They risk a significant portion of their stack and future game EV when they double us up, so we often get to see a flop with QQJ3, which is fine.
One thing I'm still contemplating is whether 15BB is shallow enough for the 3 to not matter as much—since two-pair hands are strong, regardless of which two pair we have—or if we want at least something like QQJ6 to consider VPIP'ing.
Watching the rest now!

Very well explained thought process of the strategy. Please more of these!

I like the format especially the live expoits of players, like front door heavy plays and stabbing small ip. On the Tony G Hand where he has AA with 96fd on Q74fd is a clear bet get it in, you block the str8daws und flushdraws. I was wondering of the comment that´s a typical check in this scenario.

Hey, great to see another video by you. I was wondering if Brice should not consider to raise T755r in BB vsSB at 08:10? Seems like a hand that solver likes to be aggressive with in BB vs SB scenarios, as we can easily fold out a lot better and fold low equity when facing a limp raise.

another great video thanks! videosuggestion: ICM betsizing: how does betsizing change on a final table, for example when we as the CL have a wider range, the bb defends tighter, but is under icm pressure

Great stuff! Possible to record an ante 6max game at some point? Would love to see your adjustments and also more applicable to tournaments

excited for the next video. your exact aa combo makes me wonder tho. it unblocks kkqqjjtt so so well, but blocks 9x, also 3x somehow having the 4. three diamonds hurt our playability with a larger spr a little aswell. therefore i guess it is a combo that would prefer bigger bet. looking forward to your choice. do you think aa74 would be a hand that might even pot on 722r blocking the very few hands that beat our hand & unblocking kkqqetc or is the 722 potting range pretty comparable to our 33b range on 933, meaning its on avg slightly weaker and only leverages our eq adv.

what software are you using to display the combos etc at minute 15? thanks in advance, good video, very smart questions!

Whats our response vs the 4bet of the guy who 4bets too much? Do we 5bet jam alot or do we continue with calls with our valuerange?
Aug. 2, 2019 | 7:07 p.m.
also the K9 hand shorty on 953r seems a bit contradictory to that AA hand. i would rather bomb K9 on 953r ( you get lots of value from A2-5, worse pairs etc) than AA on T73r.

nice format.
last hand: which hands would you fold to brown‘s 3bet in daniels shoes?

Great Stuff Cory,
I would prefer it if on text-only slides the bullet points would show up one by one. I can't resist reading all of it. It makes listening to your valuable comments much tougher.
Best regards

Sry for offtopic but how do you post a hand this way, with screennames hided. Using HEM 1, tried a couple of different things, converted on pokerhands.org and tried to copy/paste didnt work. If i post the HEM HH it will show screennames right. thx guys!
AT96ds i think in theory a jam, without FE probably good fold.
A665s great steal imo.
Great thinking on your part HU as expected. Dont be too hard on yourself. I think you played great and usually had the right thoughts IMO. Looking forward to the sims!
