Great breakdown throughout- curious on the last hand with K5o, could you elaborate more on what the optimal play is? Did you specifically raise because you had no spade?

Could you elaborate more on lead out ranges? I've been under the assumption that you never want a lead out range in PLO, is that standard/ok?. Thanks Phil!

You're awesome, Tom! Really happy to see you on the RIO crew!

I think that'd be great for many reasons. It would definitely be refreshing from your standpoint and as well as the student, depending on game knowledge/desire. Also with how well RIO is managed from a video selection I'd tend to think there would be no confusing or lost interest. Thanks and looking forward to picking your brain!

Nice breakdown! You said early in the video you wanted to play your hand as either a 3b or f mainly because of the reg in the bb/btn and the desire to not go 3 ways. For the sake of learning you call in the sb because of the stack-depth/level and the bb is unknown/overfolding. How does this change your approach post flop on same texture and goes x/x on flop.

Welcome Tom, aka Mr. Combinatorialist! Through combinatorics can you develop tendencies/reads resulting in 1 hand/1game algorithms or is it more of a principal for a solver of frequencies? Both? Hope I'm saying this right. Looking forward to the 20 part series!

Great series so far. Thanks for explaining in depth about others play too. Also thank you for explaining the reasons for stalling too and the counter argument.
33:00- Curious your thoughts to c/r smallish for both value against a hand like he had and also protection against the broadways. I would tend to think Scott would continue against a small c/r with KQ KJ K10, especially if he had BD FD.

13:30- 6h6c curious if your opinion of c-betting changes on a rainbow J4J, or was it all predicated on the sb calling range? Also would you consider a flop like this neutral?

Agree on sizing up at certain stages of turbo, thoughts on using 2.5x instead of 3x? IMO feels like I get exploited more on 3x sizing compared to 2.5x and I have same effectiveness with 2.5x. if not more.

Curious how balanced your timing is pre-flop and post flop? How much time are you taking pre-flop before you raise? Consistently doing same timing every street?

Pure!

30:30- Great observation on being able to pinpoint ranges against regs flatting pre-flop according to position. Being able to execute crucial exploitation's such as this is detrimental to consistently chipping up from an overall games view. Mainly because of the ability to maneuver like you said and getting bluff value from potentially 3 streets because of the accuracy.

34m- Thoughts on 3B from the SB with KcKJ5c? I tend to prefer flatting more so in 9-handed format, but in 6-max I tend to think this combo or similar plays better to raise, especially from the SB as my default move with similar blinds/stack dynamics.

hey guys, so I played this hand last week at a local casino. Its the main event of the spring poker classic series they just put on. Anyways,
The final table has two really really aggro players at it with alot of history with each other. There has been a raise or 3 bet put in by one or the other every hand so far of this ft. The hand in question only involves one of these guys, Im told he used to hang with "the crew" of like 2004ish era? maybe i don't really know. I do know he plays professionally and is super agro.
So anyways, table folds to me (we are 8 handed) and im in the cutoff with ajcc our blinds are at 3/6k 500 and i raise to 13000 with about 330k behind. The dude described above makes the call out of the sb. bb folds
We see three and its 4c 8r qc he checks and i check back here as I have been doing here and there with both weak and strong hands.
The turns peels the kc he once again checks to me and i bet 11k, he tanks and raises to 40k. Still doesn't seem that out of the ordinary as he has been doing this the whole ft.(raising scare cards and dry flips)
So i end up making it 110k here. he tanks and tanks and ends up calling
River is the mighty 8 of hearts... he checks to me.. and i?
my question here is how good of a spot is it to pile it in here?
seems like i have a ton of fold equity here but not sure of the range of hands he would be c/r calling with on that turn.
Also wug thoughts on not betting flip?
Wow
