This is a spot that comes often and I feel like I completely missplayed the hand. Vilain is a random to me, I have him 20/7 on a small sample. This tournament is the bigger $8 and there is 800 players left. I think I should 3-bet preflop but I'm not sure what is the correct sizing. I think I should make a sizing so I can be committed on most boards.
Against JJ-88,AJs,KJs,QJs,J9s+,T9s,AJo,KJo, I have roughly 19% equity, so should I just bet 12k and fold to a shove? It just seems gross to lose 50% of our stack..
Toughts? Thanks.

Hi Grayson, another great vid, I really enjoy your series and I think they're one of the best on this site. I have another question if you don't mind:
At 21:27 you defend the BB with 17-18bb eff. stacks against UTG+1 raise. There seems to be a lot of different theories about those shallow defends. I have watched almost all MTT videos here and I know some other coachs would be more inclined to fold offsuited broadways (exept maybe KQo) and small pp with these stacks. Considering that opener is UTG+1, and that since we're OOP with 18bb, arent you afraid to value town yourself since if we hit a good pair, we're probably going with it most of the times? Also, we are very limited to what we can do postflop. Floating will be hard, and we rep broadways so much that Gambit should not have much trouble playing the hand.
I'd like your input on this if possible. Keep on making great videos, I really look foward the rest of this tournament. Sorry for my not so good english.

Hi Grayson, about the 22 hand vs Papa you said that it was very marginal to call even with great odds but you didn't what other option would be best. Can we shove 23bb here with 22 vs someone opening as wide as Papa or you just rather fold pre?

Hi Grayson,
At 24:00, don't you think we could get some thin value on the flop? It's the first time you are open limping and he's been 3-betting so much that there's no reason for him to think you would not raise with your value range. With that in mind I don't think he's ever checking back Ax, broadways, SC and Kx. We're left with the bottom of his range that includes lots of stuff like Qd rags, Jd rags, Td rags, basically any combination with a diamond. Also I think you are not going to get bluffed that much on this board. So I think just leading is the best play instead of letting him realize his equity. What do you think?
Sorry for bad english,
Fanov
