Am I missing something. Why are you 3x opening on the btn? Also betting or checking on the turn are fine.

You should never always do anything. You should adjust your play vs the player. What is his steal percent when folded to him? If he has a high steal percent a 3bet is fine unless he never folds to a 3bet. I would rather call or 3-bet with A5ss because you have more equity plus blockers (A). A5o is just a weak hand to play oop. Why did you c/c his flop bet? I don't mind a c/f on that flop. We have little equity to continue. It may sound like a weak play but we aren't burning chips. Because we have position on him the majority of the time there are going to be better spots for us to extract value.

Do you think TT and 22 are even strength hands? UTG less than 100bb you should only be opening 7% of hands. Is 22-44 in that range?

Doesn't it really depend on how deep we are? If we are 100bb or more there is no issue with opening 22-44. Table dynamics are also a consideration. If we have a couple of aggressive players behind us we are just lighting chips on fire by open folding to a 3bet. Flopping sets are also more profitable when played IP instead of OOP. Meaning you can call a 3bet from either blind as long as we are last to act. Otherwise we are just open folding way too much for this to be a profitable play over time.

What type of player is bb? Why do you just flat pre instead of raising him? What range did you put him on pre?
