I know it went well for me this time but i'm interested to know how other people would play this.

Thanks Cairy! I'm just learning poker at the moment. I can have sessions where i'm easily beating these fish and and bad players with easy because my confidence is through the roof. That is when i'm in 'The Zone'. But then i have sessions where my confidence is super low and i end up 'looking for cards' :) I've just late reged into a tourny on pokerStars and one of the weird players shoved on me after i raised it 3 x BB pre and c-bet less than half pot on the flop. He raised me and i pushed all in and he called! SHOCKING!
Feb. 28, 2014 | 11:42 a.m.
It really depends what cards you have.

I'm not very experienced like most on this site but i think check/call would be the best play here OOP. Raising the turn OOP and checking the river looks super weak. If you're going to call an $8 bet, you're better off betting out and folding to a raise. I still think check/call is the best play.

Where did you learn to play? I'm looking for good websites, books to read or YouTube channels that will help me improve my game?
Feb. 28, 2014 | 3:34 a.m.
Thank you very much. I'm still a novice at the moment so i feel good that i played it like anyone else. Thanks for your reply. :)

Thank you. I only played 97s on BB because it was my last hand on cash table. I thought i would pay the 20c to see the flop and it ended up to be a nice flop for me. I would normally only play 97s if i was the aggressor and in position. Thank you for your reply. :)

$0.05/$0.10 zoom on PokerStars. Critique wanted please. Could i get away from this? Did i need to raise the river? I seemed pretty confident raising the river, beat by only 3 hands.

I'm having problems. I'm unsure how to use it. When i put in the hand history, it says it's invalid.
Feb. 28, 2014 | 1:28 a.m.
I'm unsure how to play this hand on this board. HJ having KJ did cross my mind but i thought i was pretty safe on the turn after he checked back. When he flat called my bet on the turn i was almost certain i was holding the best hand but i still continued with caution. Am i getting away from a raise on the river? What do i do if he raised the turn? Thank in advance. I'm a novice so all advise is appreciated.

No offence taken. I admit i'm a novice player. My profit is around $10-$20 which is awful but atleast it's profit. I don't know how to defeat these fish and complete ametuers. I'm an ametuer but you wouldn't ever see me call off like 50BB with anything less than top 10 hands.
Feb. 27, 2014 | 10:01 p.m.
And when you do 3-bet a hand like AKs and someone calls and pushes on a flop of 4s-5h-7d you don't know where you are so you're forced to fold most of the time. Oppement then shows QTo

I'm not talking about all the stations and fish. I would love a final table of those. I'm talking the players who think they're Phil Ivey when they call a massive 3-bet with randoms and then shove the flop. The amount of times i've had AA and i've 3-bet big , someones called with A-rag and shoved the flop with nothing or sometimes hit their other card and think they're good. They think it is good play.
Feb. 27, 2014 | 2:30 p.m.
I think you've misread my post somewhere. This is not a complaint. Call, call, call, All-in with T5s is standard? I would love to play at your table.
Feb. 26, 2014 | 5:44 p.m.
Haha! Well this guy UTG PFR was 33% and he was a strong player. There was no way i was letting him take aggression going onto the flop.
Feb. 26, 2014 | 10:54 a.m.
I can't see many hands folding to your push tbh. $10k in to win an extra $28k.
Feb. 26, 2014 | 2:08 a.m.
I think you can defiantly go deep in big field tournaments in the low stakes MTT's often aslong as you're playing well and you wait until all the horrible players have gone out before you make the big plays. Final tabling is a different story! You would have to be an extremely good player to do this on a regular basis,

P.S The guy with the terrible language in the chat box isn't me.
Feb. 26, 2014 | 12:53 a.m.
This just happened to me. I had a raising battle with UTG and the SB was just calling until i shoved , bruno calls and salop calls instantly! I see this alot on PokerStars. What i want to know is why would someone risk so much on so little? #hustled :p
Feb. 26, 2014 | 12:51 a.m.
Hyper-turbo 6mans is my strong game. I have a tight-aggressive strategy that defiantly works for me. It depends how you play your game and if you can change it to suit the SNG you are playing. I wouldn't advise playing them if you can't handle a short stack .. some people end up shoving with crap because they can't handle the short stack. Good luck matey.

How do i make the hands stand out like the way this guy has done it on the post below? ..

The best SNG for fast profits would be Single table Hyper-Turbo SNG's. Not only are they faster but the fee's are smaller.

My name on PS is Meatheads10 .. i can play great poker when i'm in the zone but i always manage to go on massive tilt and spend all my bankroll. Any advise you could give for that?
I only caught you raising it up big with QJo and A9d pre-flop, no shove. Your PFR was like 32% which let me 3-bet you with 10-8 and tell you i had aces :p
You were the annoying player on the table (The annoying one is usually the best one hehe)
I think on the flop your move should be raise/fold IMO. :)
Feb. 19, 2014 | 10:27 a.m.
Leave the check/shove for when you play live(It's not a horrible move).
Feb. 19, 2014 | 2:26 a.m.
You're the Australian guy i met in the $3+$0.30 2400 man torny. I see you went on to cash, nice. :)
I don't think you can call in this spot. Maybe he seen how you play and he's reflecting it. I noticed whenever you over-bet or bet the pot, you had a VERY strong hand. You are a very good player and a loose aggressive one at that. I caught you raising HUGE with QJo and A9s haha .. small world ay.
- Chelsea
Push or fold pre in this situation IMO.
