Since it's SB vs BB, the ranges are very wide even in a 3bet pot. GTO calls hands as bad as K5s in the SB to the BB 3bet.

But in reality, the BB you mentioned probably isn't finding enough 3bet bluffs preflop... like J7s or A4o, so you don't have to call as wide as GTO but KTs is certainly good enough to continue.

Good point on the river, definitely not enough bluff raising from villain so your bluff is even better than I thought.

Preflop: Standard call
Flop: I like the call. Getting a good price to draw. I don't like raising here because he can 3bet jam on us with his AX and put our draw in an awkward spot.
Turn: Glad it checked through. Less likely he has an ace now.
River: I love the bluff because the board looks really scary to our opponent. In reality, he shouldn't worry too much about us having trips or straights because we don't call 3bets with many 5s or 4s. So if he's sitting there with a pocket pair like 99-KK, I think he'll overfold on the scary-looking runout.

Seems like you have a good study system in place. I started playing my final year of college as well. It's nice to have a side income while in school and then a career option if you don't love the 9-5. Good luck man.

I like to look at 3 factors when considering moving up. Winrate, Opponents, and Bankroll

Winrate: First of all, you ARE beating the rake at your current winrate. PokerTracker 4 shows your after-rake earnings, so in fact, your winrate is much higher than you initially thought. Over 25k hands, it's safe to say you're a consistent winner at 2nl.

Opponents: Do you notice them making mistakes? Like limping into the pot? Or playing garbage hands? You're likely much more studied than them. Just another sign that you're ready to move up.

Bankroll: 20 buy-ins is a good bankroll to have. 5nl x 20 buy-ins = $100 required bankroll. You mentioned bankroll is not an issue so I'd move up to 5nl immediately and 10nl soon after if you're winning after 10k hands.
