Helllo Lumpizaver,
Thanks for the post.
On the flop I think betting is the best option, since we can barell a ton of turns
What is considered a good turn? His range seems rather well protected and uncapped. I think we can just mindlessly barrel some turns with a hand that has does not have a lot of good options. but I don't think it is a slam dunk.
TURN: A nice scare card so I like you barrel,
is it a scare card? seems slightly better for his range then mine. when the flop rolls out like this, I think he will be winning this pot a high % of time but that's besides the point.
and we definitely have quite some tens in our range.
agreed.
I like a bet around 300, we still get to fold a lot of chops and we are not burning money if he has a Q. Maybe a smaller bet size can also be considered (half pot) because it looks more like a Q inviting a call.
cool I think I do too.
I am not familiar with 2/4 HU regs so I don't know whether they might bluff jam over a smaller river bet.
nor am I. but it certainly takes a certain kind of player to bluff jam in these spots and most regs are not going to consider raise/bluffing it at these stakes if we bet more then 1/2 pot on the river. So with that said, I am sure the most profitable line would be like betting around 300 as you suggested on the river.

My thoughts--- (feel free to correct errors)
Preflop: my 3bet % is pretty low and think I should probably flat this preflop and 3bet stuff like 62hh. However, whatever.
Flop: I think flop is interesting. This is not the board texture I want to barrel air hands. Lets look at all my options with this hand...
C/C is pretty decent option otf and my range is somewhat protected by the other hands I can sometimes call with.
C/R flop seems a bit ambitious although kind of interesting. Probably don't want much of a cr range on this board texture with stacks.
So I think, c/c >> bet>>c/r.
Turn: Ugly spot. I just want to realize my equity and don't think I have to face a raise all that often if I bet myself (however could be wrong). While if I check with 5 high and he bets it may be more correct to just c/f then flat.
River: Trying to fold him off a chop, and it all comes down to how much Qx is in his range and how often he will fold chops.
I could also bet a number that is a nonshove say like $300 and feel pretty good about not facing a bluff shove. It would save me money in the longrun assuming they are never going to bluff over it.
cliffnotes: Consider alternative flop play (ideally cc). Rest of stuff is relatively close I think.

Hello runitonce! First post here but love the site and everything going on here.
Hero- opening 92% hands, 12% 3bet
SB- opening 100% hands, 26% 3bet, 65% fold to 3bet.
Over 200 hands. If you want any other stats just ask.
Hand
$2/$4 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 2 Players
Hero (BB): $1,028.26 (257.1 bb)
SB: $703.53 (175.9 bb)
Preflop: Hero is BB with 4h 3h
SB raises to $8, Hero raises to $40.90, SB calls $32.90
Flop: ($81.80) Jh 8d 9h (2 players)
Hero bets $57.50, SB calls $57.50
Turn: ($196.80) 7s (2 players)
Hero bets $127, SB calls $127
River: ($450.80) Td (2 players)
Hero shoves ~478 more (puts him all in 1.06PSB)
Things that confuse me--
1.) Preferred flop line with this hand: CR>>CC>>Bet, Bet>>CC>Cr, etc.
2.) Thoughts on the turn?
3.) Optimal river bet size.
agreed that calling turn and mostly folding river seems best and least exploitable/best play in the long term.
