I thinks its how it helped me to find spots to be more aggressive.

I loved this video - can't exactly explain why - thanks! :)

Hey Robin,
thank you for the answers!
There was another one that you missed:

Another question: could you tell us what is a reasonable WTSD and W$SD
at zoom plo50? At regular tables this is about 28-30% for WTSD and
~50% for W$SD, right? How does that change for zoom?

Thanks!

Hi!
Do you never use the HUD or is it just for the video?
Also surely there is no time to take notes when playing 4 tables of zoom - do you add notes later when reviewing?

Well that was dizzying :)
It was interesting, surely different from the other videos here. :)
@19:39 bottom right - if shorty reopens the betting and the deep guy shoves do you call with AKK2ds with 200bb?
I was always wondering about these deep plays.

Hello again!
I spent a lot of time with PJ since posting this hand, finding answers on some of my questions and running into new ones.
I was wondering if there is a better place to post these questions? If you know any please let me know. Thanks.

Post | BrianLara posted in PLO: Trying my hand on Pokerjuice

Hey guys I downloaded the free trial and giving it a go.

Here is my first hand I tried, please bear with me :)

Quick description, it is a BvB vs a reggish player playing 32/23/7 over 1.8k hands.
It is folded to me I raise in SB, he 3bets, I call. On flop I check, he bets and I check-raise.
Question: Is the check raise +EV? Is checking off +EV?

I assumed in this situation he 3bets 10% so I put that in.
On the flop I set his range to continue (bet) with any spades, any 6, and big pairs. He could of course bluff too – bet/fold hands like KQJT without spades, so I added that too. However when I hower over the input field JT98+!ss only showes as JT98 so I assume I screwed up the syntax. (!ss does not mean no spades?)

For the stack off range I put Aces, QQ+ with spades, 789T with spades and of course any 6.

Next is the EV calculation for the shove on the flop. However at which step do we do it? There are 3 steps 1. I check 2. he bets and 3. I check/raise. Now of course it is fairly obvious that I should calculate at step 3 but why not step 2 (when he bets).
I am a bit at loss here especially that the results vary hugely when he bets we get -1.15€ when I c/r 6.06€. And when then calculating at step one would make some sense too and we would get another result -2.23€. I know that the stack sizes and stack to pot ratio is different for each step but would this really account for the different results?

Am I over complicating this?
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the video!

at 7:00 top right, would it be not much better to check back turn?
It feels like villain will be c/r ing very light and we have to fold our flush draw+gutter.

Oct. 21, 2014 | 3:25 p.m.

BN: $43.75
SB: $50 (Hero)
BB: $70.41
UTG: $27.10
HJ: $46.70
CO: $29.16
Preflop ($0.75) (6 Players)
Hero was dealt K A 9 Q
UTG folds, HJ folds, CO folds, BN raises to $1.50, Hero calls $1.25, BB calls $1
Flop ($4.50) J 6 5 (3 Players)
Hero checks, BB checks, BN checks
Turn ($4.50) J 6 5 8 (3 Players)
Hero checks, BB bets $3.50, BN folds, Hero raises to $12.81, BB calls $9.31
I was wondering if my turn c/r (and R follow through) was a bit optimistic or could this be a profitable play after all?

BB seem TAG 24/19 agg 2.4 but i only had 25 hands on him an no other history.
River ($30.12) J 6 5 8 7 (2 Players)
Hero bets $15.48, BB raises to $56.10, and is all in, Hero folds
I bet 1/2 pot here as i would with 97 or T9 vs villains 'missed' flush draws, is that ok?

I assume that there is a very low chance that villain turns a missed fd or a set into a bluff and i have A high only so no calling.
Final Pot
BB wins $58.58

Hi!

Just watched a few minutes yet.

Can you tell us about your color coding a bit?

What was your aggression (agg or agg%) while playing plo50 zoom? You dont have that in your HUD, neither steal stats for example. Do you use the same HUD when you play higher stakes and normal tables?

Thx!

Would you mind sharing your zoom stats with us? I feel like I'm playing a bit tighter then I should (and tighter than you are) with something like 22/15/6  with agg 2.9 and 34%.  Thanks! (loving the vids btw!)

Hi Tom!

I liked the video a lot i hope you will make more of this kind!

My questions:

1. You mention that deep play is not your strength so how will we learn it? :)

I thought maybe a review video with Phil would be nice where you discuss some deep stack concepts and hands with him (in the hand replayer maybe). What do you think?

2. at 1:38 you say that AQQ7:dd is 'is an amazing strong flatting hand' - does this mean that you sometimes 3bet is vs an utg opener?
