What about just jamming the flop so I haven't got any awkward spots OTT?
Dec. 4, 2015 | 5:07 p.m.
No stats on villain. I block a few flush draws with the Kd but I decide to call the flop as I thought there were enough draws in his range. If I'm calling flop, do i have to call turn or am i not getting the right odds?

Why not just raise pre? Its 10NL, lets not get too fancy. People can do this with flush draws, straight draws and 7x, 8x. I'd imagine he would just lead most of his draws, but we don't have that kind of info.
Nov. 23, 2015 | 11:46 a.m.
We have the implied odds to call the turn bet. Sometimes he will have QQ and sometimes he will just give up OTR.
Nov. 23, 2015 | 11:22 a.m.
16 combinations of KT we lose to, what do we beat? KQdd, 9Tdd maybe all combos of 9T he's over playing? Optimistic. hard to get away from this in-game tho.

Stack to Pot Ratio. I'd look it up as its good to know when playing.

Everything looks ok. 4bet is always an option Button v SB if you have a bluff 4betting range here also. I don't think he would be betting this big with A8s-AJo. SMall sample of hands on him tho.
I've gave him this range, which is AK, 2 pair+ and flush draws. We only have 30% against this range. I could also include some spade draws which picked up equity, but this looks more value heavy than bluff.

I felt my bet sizing was too small for such a wet board. But I also felt that this board hits villains calling range better. Thoughts? Thanks.

Thoughts on the flop call and the turn fold? thanks
Nov. 15, 2015 | 9:07 p.m.
You are some very sick people of you can fold this in-game :D I'm guessing he had the dreaded 77. But what other hands is he actually doing this with!? I would level myself in to GII OTF, but that would obviously have been a mistake.
Nov. 10, 2015 | 6:48 p.m.
I'd personally be giving up OTT. That wasn't one of the cards we were looking to barrel on, SO I x/f as it reduces our value hands. Even tho it doesn't really help villain, he will likely still call again.
Same goes for the river. I would give up.
Nov. 9, 2015 | 11:31 a.m.
Ah right :) Yes, this is an easy fold pre. You should play a very tight range from the SB. I would check the turn and hope to get this to showdown, I might call a small river bet, depends on sizing a reads.
Oct. 24, 2015 | 5 a.m.
+1 to fold pre.
Am i missing something also? BB can have an ace. Why would we x/r turn? We pick up a little equity. Would this x/r be for value or a bluff?
Oct. 23, 2015 | 10:10 p.m.
This hand is a fold in the SB. It should go fold > 3bet > call.
As played, I don't hate the x/r as we can rep the flush if that lands, and we can obviously keep barreling a jack, plus we have an over. I would give up on the ace, as it doesn't really hit our check/raising range and we're now repping thin. I feel folding is the better option OTF tho.
The river now takes away more set combinations, and there is no reason we should have a 6. Villain needs to be good 33% of the time, and I think we have enough bluffs in our range for them to call.
Oct. 23, 2015 | 4:36 a.m.
+1 to fold pre, this hand has massive reverse implied odds and doesn't flop well in general. Fold > 3bet > call.
Check back turn but as played just fold and move on. We've already invested to much in to this pot.
Oct. 22, 2015 | 6:38 p.m.
We've got no fold equity OTT so I would check back here, As we're not exactly value betting, because we're now drawing.
Same with river. We don't have much FE, but we do have a little show down equity, for when he has missed draws, its not a lot but better than nothing.
Oct. 22, 2015 | 6:06 a.m.
Its clear villain has a hand that we wants paid with and is charging worse aces and draws. we have roughly 25% equity against the top of his range (KK+,AKs,AKo) and we need roughly 33% from the pot odds, so we don't actually need much OTR. The fact we are OOP sucks, because we either have to donk, or hope he bets the river again when a jack or the flush lands.
Folding is probably best here. But If we call and hit, and we think he will call a half pot donk, That would give us a slightly EV call - 18 / (final pot on turn + half pot bet OTR (55 + 27 = 82)) = 22%. We might be able to go as high as 60% bet for more EV, but this is assuming he calls our donk or we rely on him betting.
Position would make all the difference.
Any mistakes in my math, please make it known :)
Oct. 22, 2015 | 6:02 a.m.
Not sure how this is an easy fold? button should be raising sets and 2 pair on that board. Button has a very wide range, as he was getting a great price to float the flop.
SB has a condensed range after leading in to 2 people and then check/calling when a jack lands.
Oct. 20, 2015 | 1:26 a.m.
Strange bet from villain as the river didn't change anything. It looks like AK, but that's only 8 combinations of that. I would be calling here as it may be some weird bluff with a missed draw. We are getting a really good price.
Oct. 19, 2015 | 5:22 a.m.
Plenty of draws which would call a raise OTF and turn, so the hand was played too passive before the river.
Oct. 17, 2015 | 2:48 p.m.
He could even have 89s, and we can still add some bluffs in. I would be calling this off all day!
Oct. 17, 2015 | 2:54 a.m.
Looks like a pretty straight forward call and take a note of the way he played it. I'm also on the "why raise the flop?" bus, against an unknown.
Oct. 17, 2015 | 2:38 a.m.
Against this guy its an easy fold, against looser villains I would be very tempted to call. It would depend on a lot of their stats and my reads, but A fold can never be wrong, and if it is, not by much!
Oct. 16, 2015 | 3:41 p.m.
Buttons value range is very thin here, and there are many draws, but 3betting multiway, when he can call with his draw IP. Looks like it would be a tough fold.
Oct. 16, 2015 | 2:51 p.m.
Another great video. The 23s hand at 20mins, where you say we should check/raise. This is a spot I would miss, but I would like to know, are you then going to donk lead most turns and jam a lot of blank rivers? I'm guessing we would also be repping the flush if that hits? thanks.
Sept. 30, 2015 | 11:56 a.m.
I folded in-game, but it seemed too nitty. I know its not a big difference between calling and folding, but its 888, and he could be doing this with pocket sixes!! (Obviously I don't put this in his range) But I see some weird shit :D
Sept. 29, 2015 | 8:03 a.m.
The hand converter doesn't work for me.
No stats on villain as this was snap on 888.
When he calls my x/r I put him on a strong range, KK, QQ, KQ, AJ, KJ, ATcc and 99. Is the turn a fold or a crying call? I need roughly 50% to call and I don't think I'm getting that.

I have no problem with pre if bb is fishy, squeezing probably isn't in his arsenal. calling 0.13 to win 0.37 (0.47 potential) is too good to ignore for me.
