Really looking forward to the chapter on game theory, looks really promising so far!!

Yeah, I definitely like the idea of a chapter on GTO and exploitative play. I'd also like to see a chapter on your thought processes in tough spots, how you employ logic in these spots and how you react to them. These could be in the form of hand histories with notes for example.
What do you think about some words on identifying leaks and plugging them?

Good luck with the book and the grind :)

The more I look at this the more I like, but feeling as if there's better textures to do this on, maybe turned flushes with nut blockers. Initial thoughts were; maybe overbet x/r turn and bomb river on a lot of cards, but I think we can fold out so much of villain's river barreling range with call down and jam - 2 pairs worse than A8 some of the time, AK, AQ for sure. If he's going for value with AJ, feeling a lot happier.

yeah, I was pretty tired at the time of thinking about the QJ hand haha. leading turn just seems like we'll be letting villain play very optimally against us.

I think villain can achieve a lot of fold eq (on final table bubble too) here with a cold 4b jam over our 3b in a standard spot, despite us having to 3b call btn villain. Having also seen us fold getting 1.9:1 earlier, villain could be more inclined to play out like this?

@Nick, I completely agree with your whole view on game flow - I play lots of hu and it's the small +EV spots in mtts like picking out blind steals after BB has just won a pot etc, that make nice stack builders. With the A7 hand, I think I prefer 4b jamming - what would you have at the bottom of your 4bet jamming range there?

With QJ, what do you think about x/c flop and lead (small - 400kish)/call turn? I think villain's checking back most of his non - Q range on the turn and probably river, so could we get value from any T and any pp there or is villain folding regardless of what we do?

cheers.

I think here we have to break down his flop raising range. If he's calling our 3bet pre with hands such as A9,JJ,TT and raising these kind of hands on this board texture, I'd be happy getting it in. seeing as this is sbvbtn, we might rule out some JJ etc. If he's raising his combo draws KTss, QTss, JTss, J8ss, 8Xss, I'm happy getting this in. Because we have As here I don't mind clicking this back with the intention of getting it in vs. 4bet or on the turn. What do you think of just calling and letting villain realize some eq with these combo draws, maybe a K or Q turn letting villain jam pair + draws? Assuming he doesn't barrel the top of his 3b calling range (some JJ, TT etc), could we even fold a blank turn if his WWSF is low?

I prefer flatting pre, that is if SB/BB are weaker players and won't squeeze. I also think we should make it a bit less pre. as played, maybe just fold vs. unknown?

cold 4betting here all the time. I don't like raising flop as we don't want to get blown off our equity by the top of his range and virtually flipping against monster draws - his cbet + barreling % lets us continue against a (semi) bluffing range. Hands like AQ, KQhh etc.

Great video and great analysis, am looking forward to #2. With the A3 wheel hand, seeing as we're not too concerned about balance, what do you think about betting smallish to induce missed heart draws/ straight (w/ pair eq) draws etc to come over the top with a raise? as well as getting thin value from some 7xs, few combos of 33 etc.

Not sure if I like river bet tbh. as played, v. easy fold.
