Did you grind it up on zoom or on regular tables?

I would like to see some fullring videos.
After Simon Couling stopped making videos I didn´t see any fullring video anymore.

I know exactly what you mean but I never found a way to put this problem into words.

I usually notice this when I´m value betting a little wider because I expect my opponents range to be capped because he just calls on certain board textures where he should raise his strong hands. And I end up value towning myself because he plays c/c,c/c,c/c with the stone cold nuts. But then again he takes the same line with absolute air. Even though this are bad plays I feel like it´s really hard to exploit.

In general more rake=more VPPs, but when you run it twice rake is equal compared to running it once.

It would be a pretty big scam if you pay twice as much rake when running it twice

Pre: if villain is spewy-aggressive a 3bet is ok, but against anything else i would just call.

Post: if we give villain a range of only nutflushes we have 23% but we need 29% so we can´t call for direct odds. But if we improve we could make a small donk bet or hope for a chance to check-raise and we assumed villain to have only nutflushes but he might have hands that bluff the turn and give up river. This means the turn should be a call, I don´t see any value in a raise.

Nice video,

i got a question about the hand discussed around minute 31.

How would the situation change if

a: we are 100 BB deep, or

b: the flop is rainbow

Aug. 13, 2014 | 10:35 p.m.

Nice video

I still got two questions.

You mentioned the regulars and many nits at lower stakes, but you wasn´t very concrete about their weaknesses and leaks to exploit.

Once you identified some players as regulars did you notice any common leaks which most solid (given their limit) regulars have? And how did you exploit them?

And would you like to show us your Zoom-graph including showdown- and non-showdownwinnings?

Comment | AxelFoldy commented on Video Ideas

I would also like to see some more stuff about 3bet pots.

I don´t think that general 3-bet strategy taught on PLO 100+ does apply to microstakes because people usually react different/irrational(?). So a general 3-bet gameplan for lower stakes would be nice (maybe with differences between zoom and non-zoom).

Great video, very helpful for people playing these stakes.

I am still interested in your opinion about Zoom. Given winrates are generally lower in Zoom poker because people are tighter and do not spew that much money around compared to non-zoom poker but rake is equal (correct me if i am wrong). Is it usefull to play Zoom at these stakes with the purpose of bankroll-building because of the higher volume you achieve compared to non-zoom?

And how do you think does zoom poker affect your game? Is it equally good as non-zoom to improve your game?

How much 3betting would you recommend? especially on the button.

Is it possible to really destroy villains by forcing them to play big pots OOP with marginal hands and does C-betting also work that well in 3bet-pots?

April 10, 2014 | 7:41 p.m.

Are those numbers for Zoom or regular tables?

If they are mixed, it´d be interesting to see the difference in rake.

I play these stakes regularly, but zoom only and agree with your statements completely.

With a VPIP<20 and the leaving out of spots that might be slightly +EV but require to put in stakes

I pay less than 10bb/100 Rake (attributed).

March 28, 2014 | 10:15 p.m.

I don´t expect 44-55 to be in an unknowns/default range but definitely QQ and KK. By replacing these hands we got 39% (TT+,JTs,AdTd,KdTd,QdTd) requiring 35% taking rake into account ~37%. So according to this range it is a narrow call. With any addictional information that gives me a reason to expect him having some spews in his range (i.e. avatar/name/nationality/chat) i would consider it to be a much easier call

Hello,

@Tom: Is your strategy explained in "Intro to 40BB PLO" exactly made for the shallow tables on
FullTilt or can it also be applied (without any adjustments) playing a 40BB stack on the standard Stars 100BB PLO tables?

Or in other words: Where do you think is this strategy more profitable? On Stars playing standard PLO tables with a 40BB stack or on FullTilt playing shallow tables?
