I don't like the raise on the river with KK vs the min checkraise on that KQT board because u might fold the best hand when villain overplays bottom set like 555 or 666 and u talk urself into folding because wer obv thinking it's nearly always J9s or AJs
March 2, 2015 | 8:38 p.m.
I don't see many hands folding the turn besides maybe Tx

sorry i accidentally flagged ur comment JEff , i thought it was the reply button :). And yes cbet flop jam turn.

also his preflop calling range is probably something like 88-QQ ( might 4bet QQ dunno) and AQs, KQs maybe the usually fancy JTs , 89s. hard to tell cuz of sample issues if he suspects you are capable of squeezing 'light'. Some people are generic in their preflop ranges and call in these spots preflop with like 99 regardless of who is squeezing

don't think he is raising any type of flushdraws with position on you , that would be superspewy. given the preflop action i wouldn't be shocked he only has top set here. Maybe some spazzy JJ type of hand that he is massively overplaying. Since you have A hi that's no concern
Feb. 20, 2015 | 11:16 p.m.
also why 3bet pre if he calls wide. Secondly you are turning your hand into a bluff ott which is fine but what are you planning to do on rivers? As played with the rivered 2 pair check calling would be tje worst option since he is probably not going to turn a hand like 99 into a bluff and if he floated the flop with like Kx he will never fold river anyways
Feb. 20, 2015 | 11:12 p.m.
this hand is only intresting if you would not have rivered 2 pair tbh. Would u have jammed if the river was an A, K , Q , J , T ,7?
Feb. 20, 2015 | 11:09 p.m.
checkraise flop jam turn. checkraising flop because we almost always have the best hand , if we don't checkraise the flop we basically never have a check raising range in a 3b pot which i wouldn't like. Secondly if he has better flushdraws >>> fun times since we r ahead . Vs overpairs it's a trivial whatever spot, when he folds like99 , TT otf ott that's a big win for us since we folded out a better hand. that's why i prefer checkraising flop like 4X ish and jamming any turn.
Feb. 20, 2015 | 10:40 p.m.
why didn't you bet the turn? river snapfolding
Feb. 20, 2015 | 10:36 p.m.
jam turn. unless he is particulary tricky pre he doesn't have QQ-AA here. River is rlly bad since he has suited combo's that defend vs 4bet like AQs KQs , KJs and such. maybe even 89s. as played calling river since you underrepped your hand and his bluffing ratio might skyrocket becuz of this
Feb. 20, 2015 | 10:35 p.m.
superobvious jam cuz villain has AQ in his range. even nits open AQ utg
Feb. 20, 2015 | 10:32 p.m.
extremely spewy pre more spew post. villain is never folding . if u expect to make him fold KK AA in a 4 bet pot ott that's wishfull thinking. Villain 4bet u pre and has bet flop and turn and is beating a few draws u might have in ur range if u ever 3bet bluff pre.

pretty important from 25nl onwards , especially your perceived hands , what you are trying to rep , how your perceived range plays vs villains range and so on. watch videos , learn about combinatorics , use pokerstove. try to understand how well a particul hand does vs a range of hands on a certain type of board.

agrtee w knoxox. this is at ' worst' a big combodraw and better
Feb. 18, 2015 | 6:58 p.m.
bet turn , x back rivers unimproved. easy game. Assume he calls any Ax, and probably fold worse. also when u check back river unimproved u might beat like 66 or 7x ,
Feb. 18, 2015 | 1:25 a.m.
3bet pre. you are talking about balance when ur preflopgamle is terribly unbalanced cuz why wouldn't you want to 3bet JJ vs his 20/ opening range? doesn't make sense at all.
Consider donking medium strength hands / draw , xr a few 2 pairs and draws. try to count all the combo's and add frequencies. consider using flopzilla which is very usefull for these types of questions
Feb. 18, 2015 | 1:18 a.m.
i wouldn't hate check callinf flop and turn if u mix in some of ur suited connectors in that play the same way ( if u open those utg). as played folding turn
Feb. 18, 2015 | 12:23 a.m.
snapcall turn , probably also snapping any non spade river
Feb. 18, 2015 | 12:16 a.m.
snapfold otr readless , turn is gross , would not call without the added equity and definately fold and AK Q J

excellent series. I also bought your from the ground up series. I had been away from poker for a few years. just grinding the micros again. I watched it 2 times and took notes and i can clearly tell the difference in my postflop ability and winning alot more pots before showdown. To me you are one of the best instructors i have seen on essential and i used to watch a ton of videos on essential. Your course was truly amazing value and gave me a great foundation to work off. Thanks Peter and keep up your amazing work. greetings from Belgium
