Ben,
Thanks for the vids. At 16:35 when you bet turn with kq what is your plan if villian raises you there?

honestly with 7 percent 3bet sample over so many hands i dont really see him shipping any lighter than qq here ever. also 4betting jacks is pretty bleh. i really dont want to 4bet call jj. id probably flat or fold no 4 bet

i would limit 4bet bluffs to A4-A5s as they have way more playability post flop than A6-A9s, and you can connect with lots of low flops and continue hard. as played i since half our stack is alredy committed its a tough check call if he really blasts it. we have a pair and back door nut flush draw so n a standard 3 bet pot with stacks deeper auto check call i think, here it depends on his bet sizing on whether to call or not. if u call jam any 7 or diamond turn or ace if it bricks fold turn

completely agree

when we play defensively we are under repping our range hardcore and we really have to look to bluff catch when we take these defensive lines, especially when we have very good show down value such as hero in this spot. we are repping such weakness by the time we get to river villian should bluff us, so we have to make bluff catching calls. it honestly gives us more value in some spots. he will put money in spots where if we had played agressively he would fold.plus we are strengthening our checking range well played hero nh

yes as played you have to call... you played defensively and have to bluff catch now... as played villian puts you on a weaker range than you actually are IMO

Yes scourrge its on bovada. I appreciate your response. are you grinding full ring on bovada as well or 6max?

i had a spot exactly like this with AA vs an unknown a few minutes ago. gto would say most likely call bc we are at the top of our ranges but i like to look at the beluga theorem in these spots without reads. one pair hands are usually crushed in these spots unless you know villian is capable of jamming his combo draws in your face on turn, than what are you really ahead of that he is value jamming? i hate these spots so much.

100nl full ring
utg limps folded to hero in CO, Hero raises 5x, Btn calls, utg calls
flop 1023 rainbow (Pot 16bb)
utg checks, hero raises 12bb, btn tank folds, utg calls
turn 7x (pot 40bb)
utg checks, hero bets 20bb, utg insta jams, hero?
I feel like his range is capped here to 22-1010, maybe A10s and some scs, . in full ring this is a pretty standard set farming play. it just looks like we are crushed here. i puke folded

value bet 2 pair plus, is this rocket science or pker? lets not level ourselves here boys
April 14, 2014 | 8:21 a.m.
3bet pre... as played well played villian is a retard, thats not a soul read thats a ridiculous donk tilt call
April 14, 2014 | 8:16 a.m.
i dont really see what hands he would end up on river with here that would be total air other than kq or Aq and is he the type of villian to float the flop with only overs in a 3 bet pot? looks like he is value towning us
April 11, 2014 | 5:48 p.m.
no way am i folding that flop, i would not raise bc generally only better will call and we are flipping vs a set pretty much, but i definately want to see a turn, and ideally a river if possible. standard flop call though OP. Realize your equity
April 4, 2014 | 7:30 p.m.
that is obvious as his line is to 4 bet and fold... hence its a 4bet bluff..OP i like that line in this spot... try to take it down pre, AQo plays bad post flop. perfect 4 bet bluff hand in this spot
single raised pot, they are most likely calling to set farm... so it looks a lot like a set here on this board with preflop action as it was and the raise on turn.
