yeah i agree x/jam OTT seems like a better play in hindsight against his range then x/c and avoid what i feel is an awkward spot on OTR. As for betting OTT i didn’t think there was many worse hands calling two streets so i decided to induce a bet and bring a larger portion of his range to river, which as you pointed out should have led to c/c more often. I see what your saying I’m not sure what portion of his value betting range those suited connectors make up but I’m inclined to think a large portion i just didn’t feel he was value betting worse or bluffing 30% of the time but I’m pretty newb and possibly still should have c/c OTR as played.

thanks for the discussion on this hand everyone i have a much better understanding of what my mistakes were and how i could have played this more optimally.

i cbet flop to get value from his flatting range i think there are a lot of worse hands that call weak aces, flush draws and 77-jj

i agree and i disagree to a certain extent, i do believe were ahead of his 3b flatting range as i think there are a lot of worse aces as well as various broadways and even the pp’s that he flats with flop poorly and are hard for the villain to play correctly and realize his equity in a 3b pot. My 3b range is pretty wide here as i find generally the pop at 25nl folds way too often to 3b and are opening a wide range on btn. Maybe my assumptions about pop are wrong but i feel this is a good 3b id rather be the aggro oop.

id imagine with his opening range on the btn were 3b'ing for value as well as the fact that i dont expect to get 4b often due to A blocker. I expect to get flatted by worse often. Perhaps though since i dont have enough hands on villain and know his opening range on btn its a fold. Why wouldn’t you 3b here

Yeah i agree in this spot i sorta wanna puke, we are pretty high up in our range and i dont think he has many combos of better hands that get to the river this way in hindsight i do think i should have called. I have never really considered this too often but perhaps i shouldn’t be building 3b pots oop against villains with no hands, however i do think ajo is a great hand to have in our 3b range here.
