hello. In first hand - i'm more or less agree about everything you said in favour of raising with JTT. But one negative point (which you never said) - if Negreanu have some low equity steals - we force him to fold it by raising and does not let him continue bluffing if both have more or less same 4th streets. With this factor decision seems not so easy for me (really not sure what i prefer here for JTT).
Stud games are slightly different than Holdem, because things can change faster.
If Daniel catches a brick and has A2o while Brown improved to Th9h, he will not continue to bluff, he will not cbet 4th street blindly. Even in Holdem things changed, now most players realized that they can't cbet 100% (neither in NLHE or LHE), but in Stud games i think 4th and 5th street has a bigger impact on the hand than the flop in Holdem.
That's why i will prefer 2 bet here with JT-T. If Daniel stars the hand with a normal stack (like 10smallbets), then it will be much closer wether to 2bet or not. I think Daniel will not open very wide here, he probably opens around optimal, but he can add a few more hands, because the door cards/stack sizes are in his favour:
-The 2nd biggest door card is the shortstack with only ~3,5smallbets
-The order of the cards behind him is in his favour. Let's say Brown has 2T-T rb, or Don Zewin has 34-4rb. There is still a K door card behind them. But if the order of the door cards are something like K-T-8-5-2, then if somebody wakes up with a split pair he doesnt have to worry that somebody behind him wakes up with a hand (still possible, but less likely)
i mean if Daniel catches A2o and Brown catches T2o. Or Daniel catch suited card to ace and Brown catch something connecting to T. May be in that case he may continue bluffing. Though anyway i like your answers alot.
