lol, yeah the FT was livestreamed by ChicagoJoey and I had it on bc Fedor was simultaneously playing and discussing his strategy, the guys identity, nationality (you're correct btw) and the meaning of his stars ID were all mentioned at some point (correct again :D). Tbh I never quite lost the glee of a six year old when they find a secret way to say a bad word, so I've kinda been enjoying getting to say his name, I did wonder how long it'd take until someone picked me up on it though...
Lol ye ok, it was suspicious though from the pronounciation. If you havn't heard it , you wouldn't pronounce it like that ever..:) But I didn't deduce from it that you were trolling:)
28.00: How close is LuckyGump's preflop decision with 7722ds facing psjebemvas's squeeze compared to a cash game? Would it be different if Tagult hadn't cold called?
I think an equilibrium in cash that involves this hand being a +ev call would involve a decent amount of slowplaying (otherwise every time we coldcall and tagult has KK,double suited Axxx he should just shove) which in a tournament we're significantly less incentivised to do since EV of getting pot HU and knocking out covering stack in process is so high, which in turn likely means we have a super small coldcall range and end up 4betting most of our continues. $EV of folding also pretty high bc Tagult will call and bust psjebemvas relatively often which locks up a sizeable pay jump.
HU is a lot closer, vs 3b we dont do much folding of double pairs, double suited hands, or even funnily enough 22 compared to a bunch of other pairs (card removal effects, I'm assuming), now I'd say it clearly wins chips to call but with stacks so bunched and psjebemvas playing kinda erratically I think skewing towards cautious approach almost has to have higher $EV.
Richard your explanations of icm, premiums and future game are the best articulated breakdowns I’ve ever heard. Much appreciated around this time of the year!
I would like it if you could get back to 6 max cash theory heavy after this series is over. Tournaments are cool but they're not always available for the daily grind.
Yes, I'm conscious not to weight distribution too heavily towards non-cash game content, there are some theory and cash game live review vids queued up. If you have any suggested topics for standalone theory vids btw feel free to let me know, I tend to just make a mix of what interests me and what I've done recent work on.

This series some of the best on the site! Great fun analysis. Valuable insights across the board and great style points for conversation. Thanks.
Glad you're enjoying it, thanks very much :)
