Hello. First hand: AK vs 88. Yes, double check and only call river seems too tight, but with which hands imluckbox can pay him 2 barrels? Probably only something like KQ exactly but this hand can bet turn as well. He can have a bunch of AJ KJ QJ JTs hands, some TT-77, and Ax which would not pay him off 2 barrels.

Nice video Sam. I like how you used examples to show how a relevant concept - playing cautiously as a medium stack due to ICM pressure - can be misapplied and/or taken to inappropriate extremes.

Min 29: BelmantChief shoves AQo because he thinks he cannot r/c profitable against pretty much anyone, which I agree. Well, look ICM might be a flawed model and benefit the bigstacks way too much, but against any reasonable reshoving-range of population you cannot even r/c AKo vs BTN for example.

That being said it looks like he just wants to play max ev on how these tools tell us to play. If you cannot r/c such a strong and in CEV +ev hand you wanna do more limping or openshoving.

Min30 AJo r/f:
I didnt even changed the reshoving range of BB. I let it how HRC would respond. Obv if you would compare the ev of flatting vs reshoving some of those hands you may wanna flat.
However, even if Villian reshoves that wide 16,7% we end up folding AJo. If we take into account population reshoves way tighter than HRC, we end up folding AQs as well, which makes us wanna do more openshoving or limpin in general as mid/shortstacks
