10min if villains are looking to hero fold AA on this river vs a D-X-OB would you still OB this in the future? I also think with the rec not trapped in the middle I would check range here and let the 3 bettor trap the rec in the middle. Once you donk bet I would rather just 50-50-50 and force AA to hero call.
I mean if it's folding range here, it's not too hard to just make 60 dollars with every bluff. It's possible at 1/2 that it happens, but I think at higher stakes, lots of players are aware of and try to exploit these situations so the fold frequencies tend to fall.
I lead because I think this board is going to generate approximately 0 percent fold equity from two players, but the IP player might decide to check any non-jack, because there's not many non-jack hands that call 3-streets here 3-way. Basically I think IP has more bluff-catchers than value bets/bluffs on this type of board due to the 3-way nature of the pot.
Great video emphasizing the importance of monitoring tendencies, trends, and styles.Auto pilot strategy will handicap you now and in the future and I like how you outline the different personas of even seemingly similar player types
I'm not a big flatter in position right now, because the squeeze frequencies seem to really hurt the value of things like KQo. It's possible that there's small EV loss from the fold, but in general my opponents have been losing money in these spots with these calls, so I assume that I'm also going to lose money.
The KQo open UTG is pretty marginal given 3-bet frequencies and rake structure. If the rake was lower, it's a clear open, but at 6bb/100 of rake. This hands seems to be quite marginal.
44 is certainly a candidate 3-bet but against is quite marginal against pool, my models indicate that it loses about -50bb/100 as a 3-bet in these spots. Most players over-defend and it really penalizes the value of marginal 3-bets.
Interesting about the KQo being a fold UTG. I thought AJo+ KQo was mandatory and mostly do ATo+ KJo+ from UTG then KTo QJo gets thrown in from the HJ. Thought KQo was a mandatory open. Good adaption if there are too many 3bets going on though. Would want to start playing limp raise with some of these hands since I don't like folding them. Having an RFI and a limping strategy will be a pretty deep rabbit hole though.
For most of my career I've opened up KQo, KJo, ATo, AJo in UTG, but the data doesn't really seem to support these opens since GTO wizard became the gold standard for 3-betting from the IP players. I've got them at -38bb/100 for my opponent in UTG and I'm at -11bb/100 over 1700 samples in UTG.
It's clearly not a big mistake, but they are very close to 0 in the current game environments.

Thanks AJM! I always appreciate the feedback
I appreciated the comments on why learning your opponent can be more valuable than trying to stick to gto in these pools.
23:50 table 4 kqo do you have a btn flat rng in these spots with broadways or medium pocket pairs?
25:20 table 2 kqo is this a standard fold utg?
25:38 table 1 44 what is the bottom of our pair 3bet rng?
Thanks!

Hey Tyler another great video my guy thank you
Thanks Truepower!
Like the line, love the land, well played
Thank you!
Interesting, don’t hate the fold here,
Yeah super weird spot, if he always has a flush clear fold, but I don't think we can conclude that yet and we bet the bluffs, so it's a likely a call.
