At 23:40 when you 3bet the 66 in SB vs button, if the BB (PADABABA) is playing as aggressively as you say (not sure about his 3bet%, you didn't mention it) what do you think about flatting to induce a squeeze and then backshove?
Had identical thought and I prefer that line. I think its suspect to 3bet just because it plays easier by deterring BB to cold 4b planning to decide after how to react to a 4bet.
I think your suggestion is an OK line that is almost certainly +cEV, but I think we are a little too deep (just over 50bb's) and too close to the final table (ICM really wants us to avoid being all-in) to really love it. If we had 30-40 bb I would like it much more and think that it would probably be the best way to play the hand. One of the problems with flatting that I didn't really elaborate on is that PADABADA will then call (correctly) a huge percentage hands and we will really struggle to win the pot when we don't flop a set and are first to act three way. When we do get to back raise shove, we will punish his weak 3bing range, but will risk quite a bit to do it (both in terms of bb's and potential future payouts). When we have 35bb I would guess his 3b range (and % of it that's calling) is very similar so we still punish his high 3bet% but risk much less, so that's when I might like to use this line. With 50bb I still like 3bing because we have a bunch of immediate fold equity, our hand plays fairly well SB to button in a 3b pot, and we have the option to 5bet either opponent IF we have a read the risk is vs the reward (whether it's timing, bet sizing, prior notes etc.).
Haha, I won't be specific because some colours are less flattering than others, but they attempt to categorize a player based on a combination of things including skill level, regular stakes / volume, style of play, etc. The specific notes I have written on people are much more important than their colour, but I do find the colours very useful for preflop decisions and multi-tabling in general. I will tell you that pink is my fishy colour, so if you're tagged pink then you've come to the right place! I often laugh at the notes I have on pink players because many of them devolve into keyboard smashing (eg. "3b/5b JTo bb to co 50bbs FANTASTIC! I wonder if he wonlkjhfdgljhfkj
Very fun and interesting series Todd, keep up the good work!
I agree with you about not 3-betting 94o and q2s because you will have an 80% 3b but dont you think there are spots where its profitable to 3b 100% of your range (ft bubbles and sick icm spots on final tables)?

What do your colours of the notes represent? I see some familiar faces, it wold be fun to know what you think of them.
