Hey Emty! There aren't comments available on it, but I just wanted to thank you for the awesome work you've done on the FTGU PLO course! I started it within the last 48 hours, and have already had it pay dividends at the table.

I just wanted to send you a personal thank you! Going to cut this short so those with comments on this video shine through. :) GREAT JOB, THANK YOU, SIR! <3

Hey DreamKrusherJay !

Very happy to hear that the first couple episodes made a good impression and I'm sure that there will be plenty of more videos that will help you in improving your game.

I case you don't know yet, there is also a dedicated forum section where you can ask al sorts of questions about the course: https://www.runitonce.com/courses-forum/from-the-ground-up-plo/

Best of luck,
Emty

I've really learned a lot from all of your videos. Looking forward to more, especially live play or session review videos.

As someone coming from holdem it always suprises me how much we bluff raise top pair. In so many of these spots with decent top pairs in hold em we call a lot or value raise. But a hand lile qjj8 on qt7 raising so often and being done as a bluff is suprising. In plo in general it can take some getting used to when it comes to shifting down how valuable our made hands actually are.

Hey SoundSpeed
Thank you for the positive feedback!
There are are going to be 2 more videos as part of this series and then I am most likely recording some session review videos afterwards.

I can totally understand why players with a NL Holdem background tend to take the more passive line. But in PLO, our equity with the worst type of top pair hands is really bad and also when it comes to equity realization, we will have a very hard time getting to showdown which is wh some of these hands are much better bluff candidates due to immediate blockers and therefore increased fold-equity. I am happy I could shed some light into this part of the game tree for you :)

Best,
Emty

Hey Emty,

Another thing that seems common is the ability to fold out weaker aaxx kkxx hands in plo compared to nlh. Are we also looking to bluff raise overprs, especially overprs with connectivity to the top flop card in order to fold out aaxx kkxx? Example would be bluff raising ttxx on 982 or jjxx on t82?

Sorry if I got ahead of your presentation :) Thank you.

Hey SoundSpeed !

Yes! These kind of hands are pretty much our premium bluffs, especially when having in addition to our weak overpair a pair blocker and/or some potential nut outs.

So for example check/raising TT96 on 982r is pretty much one of the best bluffs we can find. This becomes even better when we face CBets from population that are pretty merged and therefore folding out a bunch of AAxx/KKxx type of hands and also denying equity from random overcards.

Best,
Emty
