Hi, really love your videos so full of very useful practical advices, I very am surprised you don't get many more likes.
I wonder if I could get your opinion on Monker, as I am currentlly using Simple Omaha but I find it extremely slow although I have a pretty high end pc with 128gb of ram, it takes several hours even on very simple solutions
Do you think Monker would be an improvement on that?
Unfortunately I don't have any experience with Simple Omaha.
128gb of Ram is definitely sufficient for running Postflop Sims but might get close when trying to run some Preflop Sims. Besides RAM, the processing power highly determines how quickly your Sims are being simulated whereas RAM does not really have a huge effect on that.
What exactly do you mean by "very simple" solutions?
Hey Emty, thank you for the reply, by simple solutions (sims) I meant something like a Postflop 3bet pot with a low PSR.
Looking forward to your next video.
Best.
Intel core i7-9700k CPU @ 3.60GHz
Btw I hear that Monker isn't very user friendly and is not even supported any more by the devs,
that is why I am a bit undecided about.
There is definitely some level of technical difficulty when it comes to set sims up correctly. What do you mean by "the devs". What limits are you currently grinding at?
I see. Didn't have any issues so far concerning sims with Monker. But maybe not too many new features to be expected in the future if support from the Devs is lacking, lets see.
I think at PLO100 it can definitely make sense to purchase Monker (only 5 buyins) and deal with some more in-depth solver work. But up to you :)

Yeah, these should usually go fairly quick. What are your CPU Specs?

''Devs'' stand for developers of the software, I am playing at the plo 100 but trying to level up.
I see. Didn't have any issues so far concerning sims with Monker. But maybe not too many new features to be expected in the future if support from the Devs is lacking, lets see.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions Emty, I really appreciate it,
and I guess I will try Monker after all.
Best.
