Happy new year! Hope the rest of the year goes better.

10:25 it shows tt, 99, 88 likes to barrel. Is this still a value/protection bet? Not a lot worse seems to call and I would think we chk fold most rivers.

38:23 when you go to the node where you xr, our opponent is folding some kk and jj but calling qq. Why is that? Is it interactions with our bluff rng?

Thanks!

Thanks, happy to new year to you too :)

10:25 - It's mostly a bluff but we always give up river. It's one of those plays that PIO makes where some better stuff folds (QQ-JJ) and some worst stuff calls (draws).

38:23 - Because it heavily blocks AQ which is our most likely value hand.

I understand why the Ac blocker here is not good to bluff shove the river over your opponents bet, but I'm not completely sure why the lower clubs are used instead of the higher ones like Qc or Jc? I would have thought they would have blocked more flushes than the lower ones, and block the better flushes (not sure if that's relevant - not sure that OOP is bet folding any flushes on the river?). Is it because OOP is more likely to check raise combo-draws on the flop than other flush draws? Or because they also block straights perhaps? Or is it to do with making straights indifferent to calling the shove on the river by not always using other blockers that straights unblock?

We want to block more flushes, not the best ones. No one is folding a flush otr vs a jam. Usually, the lower clubs will block more flushes because the higher clubs will
a) sometimes have been 3betted pre e.g. QJcc
b) be used as a bluff e.g. AJxc

So by bluffing w the lower clubs, we usually will end up blocking more of the value range and less of the bluffing range.

26.30 - AK on J64ss
On the turn, PIO has AK no spade as a bet-call. Based on how people are likely to play in reality, would you still bet-call this combo? If not, would that change your decision on whether to bet the turn or not?

Yeah I would still bet/call it imo if I knew it was the play. Population doesn't slowplay enough in this exact spot ott after x/r flop. Hence, I don't expect too many strong hands or traps.
