Awesome video. DB analysis was something I needed to do. One question - where do you find that exact hud you have pulled up in HEM2? For me it's set up however my HEM2 came, never opened it or changed anything. For now I'm importing all these stat columns manually into my overall tab. Thanks!

Glad you liked it! The hud is one I made myself, then the stats in all the tabs are just things I've added over the years when I've been interested in them. Should probably organize it a little better at some point.

Another invaluable video - many thanks.

When you were analyzing the positional stats you mentioned BB and BTN win rate were low. What sort of numbers would be more reasonable?

Thanks Steve! You are the best! :-)
Actually, nowdays I play the SPIN - thx for you! (so don't stop playing that type too)
Of course I will watch the video repedetly, and I bet I will have a lot of questions.

BRB!

Merry Christmas!

@Tesla

Open flopzilla and just map out a BB/SB 3betting range vs. the BTN. This spot comes up a lot because people open a lot. Some of the best regs both in my database and from talking to guys who play full time mid stakes stars seem to be 3-betting 15-20% in both spots (my guess is more in the SB). Just map out what that range looks like and memorize it. Use it as long as anyone is opening reasonable (the higher they open, the more you 3-bet). Stick with a linear range given that in your database nobody seems to be folding to your 3-bet's. You can go polar but that's better for people who are actually folding to you.

Don't worry about going crazy against UTG/MP as it's a spot where you won't make a massive amount of money trying to exploit what is likely a range that is too tight and strong anyways. Stick with 6-8% in these spots using mostly a mix of JJ+/AKs/AK for value and some wheel suited aces for your bluffs A2s-A5s. They have a high amount of equity vs. any range. To fill out that range you can add AQs/AJs and possibly ATs but it's a spot where you don't need to go crazy because you just won't make a bunch of money doing it (I've tried).

Great video (and format) could you give a stats reference to compare (in our own DB), it's not that we would take that as a MUST comply stats but just to compare. For example what frequency we must have for calling streets or cbetting in 3bet pots.

And if you plan on doing this again, can I send you footage?

Steve Paul 9 years, 3 months ago

Yep, pm me and you can send me a db for a future video. I can't make any promises as to when it will be released though, I have a couple videos made but not yet released and have a couple other videos I want to make soon as well.

great video steve,

1 question,
Your stats from when missed cbetting, the second line IP. I guess it's when you don't cbet flop IP, your opponent leads ott and you fold? and second is when opponent leads turn, and you raise? Or am I getting this wrong?

Thx,

Steve Paul 9 years, 2 months ago

It's what they do after missing a cbet IP. So the first # is how often they fold to a turn bet, second number is how often they raise a cbet.
