Sam picks up the action deep in the Super Tuesday $1k MTT. Finding himself 5/26 he looks to weave his way toward the final table.

@10:04 I've never seen other pros calling preflop with QTo vs CO. Is it +EV, because there is ante and players wasn't squeeze happy behind you?

great video. love the analysis you give.
at 11min with QTo, why doesnt this hand have blockers u want to have? U prefer Ax and Kx blockers only?
at 39min with JTs, do you ever have a flatting range here? or do you only create a flatting range when opponent is 30bb+ and when there arent such nice 15bb reshove stacks in the blinds.
Also if they are opening too wide, but also calling fairly wide such that they arent really overfolding (as it seems he is relative to his opening range), then do you still shove JTs? Cuz him opening too wide doesnt necessarily make JTs a shove if he calls wider, expecting that he will be jammed on wider as a result.
About the 92o hand, on the river, if you valuebet your 3x/Tx and bluff your 54 92/82/72/62/52/42 and spade combos like 84ss 94ss 85ss Js6s, then he has a lot of incentive to check Tx on river given you dont call more many more hands than bet themselves and he gets to capture a bet from bluffs, as well as potentially get Heroed by a 3. The only hands that dont bet but might call a bet are QsXs KsXs AsXs and A4/A5. But these arent that many combos bc a lot of these hands get raised pre versus a limp and there are far more 92o 82o 62o 72o 54o 8s6s 9s4s type hands that will bluff

Ace blockers are definitely the most valuable blockers here because unpaired combos out number paired combos by such a large amount and because Ax are some of his more likely 4B bluffs.
If he shoves AJ+ that is 48 combos, which is the equivalent of 77-AA.
A5s would block 3 AA combos 3 55 combos and 12+ Ax combos.
QTo blocks 3 QQ combos, 3 TT combos, 4 AT combos, 4 AQ combos.

I would flat some hands but i'd rather flat hands that have better equity vs. the bottom of the shorties reshoving ranges and that keep in dominated broadway hands from the opener such as KQo.

I agree with what you said about the 92o hand. Checking the river with Tx is a reasonable play.

Could you explain to me your open sizing of 2.5x? Some people I ask say to bet 2.5x because players are defending BB wider now, whereas others say that doesn't matter because most mistakes are made post flop so seeing more flops is fine. Is it more of a difference in style, or does it depend on table dynamics etc.?

Thanks, great video!

does/should busto_soon have any bluffs when he cold 4bet your KQcc and if so what bluffs are in his range when you are considering your equity vs his range?
