08:07 bottom-left

It was you raising utg and facing 3 small donkbets from BB. So further analysis about this hand was incorrect :(

Btw thanks for your vids very much! Great stuff.

Hey Luke...  Another great video.  I really try to learn a bunch from you bc your style is like mine in some ways.  I do wonder though how profitable all the calls in the BB are.  Id say at your limit they are more profitable but at mine(50NL) they players aren't as aggressive and don't raise as wide from the button.  Any advice?

I would say that I probably defend my blinds too wide in certain spots, the most important factors to consider are your opponents opening range (the wider it is the wider you can defend pf), your opponents raise size (the smaller the raise size the more you can defend). Keep in mind if there is $7.50 in the pot and the btn makes it $15, I need to call $10 into a pot of 22.50 from the BB. If the btn makes it $10 I need to call $5 into a pot of $17.50, I should be able to call substantially more hands vs a min open because my odds are much better. Also remember if you are getting 4:1 pf your call can be +ev and you will lose the hand a substantial portion of the time.

The last thing I'd add is the weaker my opponents play postflop the more inclined I will be to make speculative peels in the BB because I believe I can make it up postflop, by realizing more of equity, and getting more value when I make hands.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I know at my limits it seems that people don't open as wide as they do at your limit. Especially seems different bc you play on Stars and I live in the US so I'm basically limited to Bovada and on Bovada it's a very loose passive game. They do not steal all that often so their ranges are a little more weighted toward value which helps me bc I can narrow down their ranges easier which always helps you to make the most +EV play.  Is there some type of a soft rule for if your in the blinds as to how often you should be defending your blinds based on what what the villains steal% or PFR%

I really appreciate appreciate the feedback bc you always seem to speak on my level and you make the most sense for the style I'm trying work on the hardest.

Also I like the fact you defend wide but 10-7 IMO is just too weak. I understand the pot odds but surely ur hand is going to be dominated a lot and ur gonna end up flopping weak made hands or weak draws so often.
