very nice video!! 4:00 What do you think betting the turn, like 30k. I think there are some more value in this hand,
Grayson Ramage11 years agoI assume you mean 3k, and that is a decent option. I agree with you that I definitely missed some value here, but as I discussed in the video I think just shoving is better.
At around 14 minutes with AQ you cbet a K6Tr board, then barrel the turn which is a 5. You pick a bigger sizing because you say you are going to be value heavy in this spot. Should you not do the opposite? When our range is going to contain more bluffs, we need to bet bigger to accommodate those bluffs. When our range is value heavy, we need to bet smaller, conversely. What am i missing here?
Grayson Ramage10 years, 10 months agoIt really depends on how elastic his calling range is in this spot. If it is inelastic, then I would prefer to bet bigger when my range is value-heavy, since I want to build a pot most of the time. If it is elastic, I would want to bet smaller when my range is value-heavy, in order to get a call more often. In this spot I would expect his range to be more inelastic, the main hands I could see him folding to a bigger bet than a smaller one would be straight draws without showdown value like 78 and possibly QJ, so in this case I prefer a bigger bet.
