POSTED Feb 22, 2019

Seth Davies grabs a sampling of hands from his recently played Sunday session and digs into them using PIO solver to check his lines. The video serves as a great example of how to study hands that proved difficult during the session to build on past mistakes.

very nice vid thx
18:25 : about 3bet shoving postflop AQ Pio prefering having an heart . I don't understand the logical of Pio , my way of thinking is opposite.
My thoughts are : having AQ with an heart means OOP has less Flush Draws , so we isolate ourself more often against a TX , but when we have AQ without an heart : OOP has more flushdraws , and we are happy to get in because we dominate them with our strong A high.
The benefit of having an heart is when we get in we have more equity but I would have think that not blocking his semi bluffs is more important
What is wrong with my way of thinking?

thx again for the content

That's certainly a valid thought. There are a number of reasons why Pio decides to do what it does. It considers equity, blockers, future streets, etc. In this situation, it appears that having more equity when you get it in is more important than blocking some heart draws.
