Still great man! just one negative point is to speak with a microphone in the toilets :) I can't believe that RIO pro have not performant device to offer quality to subscribers.

Brilliant series so far Espen! Really enjoyed Sam's commentary. Also the sound was fine.

Thanks a lot! I personally didn't have a problem understanding him when I re watched it, but I can understand that the sound isn't 100% optimal. And yeah agreed, huge thanks to sam and everyone else helping me with these. very much appreciated!

The best video so far!
Sam's questions were very good (your answers too). Just the ones I'd ask in my mind.

At 31:10 with AA what do you think of actually not shoving vs the opener who doesn't seem to understand stack sizes and what stacks can or cannot 3bet-non-allin and do that vs what stacks? What do you think of going very non-standard and 3betting small vs this kind of player and what do you think how would he react to that?

It is pretty hard to say. The fact that he flatted KK to my small 3b earlier could potentially mean that he is just calling hands like AK/AQ also to see a flop before stacking off. not very good for us. It is also possible he will do something super weird like Clicking it back again as a bluff. it is really hard to know. So I guess I just decided to go the standard way here and make sure I dont lose value against some hands he is getting in but calling to see a flop first if I make it tiny.

I've really enjoyed the last few videos with guests. It really helps show your thought process when you're going back and forth with someone.

Great series Espen and also awesome video guys! I don't understand why some were complaining: sure, the audio on Sam's part was not optimal but still it was audible and very, very interesting. Sam, you ask very pertinent questions and I fill that that way you get the most out of the situation for our benefice and yes that's why we pay $$$.

In the A8o(30:01), whats your range to open and get in against My Brim low or European? And whats your range to open shove that spot?

Great series Espen, thanks to share with us!!!

Fantastic series Espen really enjoying it!

One thing you guys didn't cover discussing European's river shove is ICM / tournament dynamics as a whole.
While it may be a profitable shove in a vacuum, if he gives up there he's still chip leader by 10bb and maintains his ability to apply loads of pressure and steal liberally which is a super +EV situation for him.
When he gets picked off he's down to equal 3rd position with double the chips of the short stack and is just totally handcuffed in terms of profitable spots. On the other hand when he gets folds it really doesn't change his overall situation all that much.

I'm curious to know how much weight you would give to the above logic in villain's spot?

I'd imagine it might hold enough weight to change a slightly profitable bluff shove in to a check back give up. Thoughts?

It certainly is a factor. Like i proved in my ICM thery video, getting in all-in situations is bad for both of us icm-wise. This goes for rivershoves as well as preflop get-ins. However, it is (way) worse for me icm-wise in this situation than it is for him. after all the value he loses in going from a 22m stack to a 12m stack is way smaller than the value I lose from going from 10m to bust or whatever it was. That is part of the power of the big stack and I felt like he certainly was the player to (over?)abuse that. Super interesting spot all in all and I feel like he played it well
