ICM occasionally makes me want to call some hands (or even play pure call.) Its sort of tough for me to give a blanket statement regarding how ICM impacts this spot. Suffice to say, you occasionally have to play tighter and have to use your own judgement to determine how much tighter.
Purely from ICM point of view you can`t 3bet and get it in as wide as you can on CeV basis which means you should have more polar 3betting range with stronger value part of it which means you should/could extend your flatting range and this case you should make sure it is a well constructed one and plays well on most textures.
I also noticed this fold but in a specific spot w/ short stack on the BB we create some additional +$ev spots for him and open ourselves to explotation if we call too wide so I think its ok to narrow down our range a bit there and fold 76s.
Would also prefer you to focus more on the FT, ICM and dynamics, then adding a 1-2z tbl.If you feel like you run out of subjects, there should always be things fromt the FT to discuss. People making small 3bets on shallow stacksizes etc..
I think if this was not a video of FT play, the cash on the side would be good. But since there is a FT i would prefer to learn more on the ICM since FTs are were tournament players make all of their money i think its important to focus on the ICM.
I understand where you are coming from. I want to hear as much about ICM when watching an MTT video as I can as well. It was still 9 handed though for the final table so pretty slow action and seemed like there was enough down time for something else.
Maybe once it gets down to ~5 players dropping the zoom would be necessary.
great video.
at 40-48 min when talking about 77 on kj87, u say u like raising ATss with double gutter, an over and FD, but doesnt this hand lose a lot when jammed on? dont we prefer weaker draws that wont have to call off? he does have t9 and you dont. Also do u read into his smaller sizing as having less t9 combos? and you seem to choose a very large raise size arent you?
also at 52min, u snap chk fold q5 on k526, do u see delay cbets in tourneys as absent of bluffs?
hi chris, at 46 min. into the video utg opens on a 30bb stack and you're in middle position with 66. obviously a standard fold but do you ever have a flatting range there? What is the bottom of your 3bet call range/3bet fold. I think 66 could arguably be a 3bet fold or A10os type hands. could you break down these scenarios for me? thanks!

Hey Chris,
12:56 Sunday Grand - 67s
I struggle to come up with strong preflop game plan in spots like this. Few questions:
Good video, Thanks
In general I play pure 3b.

Good video i think i would prefer without the cashgames on the side though. just my personal opinion.
Cool, I was just a bit worried 2 tabling wasnt going to give me a whole lot to talk about but I guess it wasnt a bit deal.
Thanks for the feedback
This guy deserves to be an elite pro. Nice video
Good vid!

Prefer without cash
Table of cash on side is good and relevant to MTT play still.

Definitely have a 200z table running on the side for live play. Any chance you'll do some review of the 100-200 8 game running lately?
Naw, I won't be making any 8 game videos anytime soon unfortunately. I'm on contract for mtts only!
However, one of the coaches here (ceegee) plays in those games fairly regularly as well so perhaps you could pm him. He may be able to oblige.
great video.
