Thanks for your hard work on your previous series and now this new one! I enjoyed the exploitative series a lot. Looking forward to this new series also! Thanks - PS. hope you are enjoying Canada!
Like I said in the vid, I don´t think I have a ton of FE on the river if I bet flop and turn largish and get snapped twice. His range for snapcalling is mostly going to be decent TPs/8x hands and FDs, and I block some of his FDs so I think my FE on the river goes down. Villain can also easily have the backdoor flush with hands like 87dd, QJdd, etc
My approach on the river is very exploitatively vs a weaker player and I pretty much don't attempt to balance anything, like bluff:value ratio for example. But the hands I would bluff are probably hands like T9o/T9s without hearts and hands with diamond blockers like Ad7x/Ad5x.
Never try to play optimal against fish your just burning money. Fish are fish for a reason because they have leaks which can be maximally exploited. You said something about your exploitative series was not that great. From the comments i saw, people loved it.
Really liked the session pre/review stuff, very helpful.
Small observation: you really use a lot of filler words: "you know", "so", "like", etc. There is nothing wrong with a brief silence to gather your words and thoughts.
Yeah, I totally agree with you, when I was reviewing my recording I noticed this as well, especially while I was explaining the sheet. Not sure why that is, moving to Canada might have something to do with it or something. Anyway, I hope it wasn't too disturbing and I will do my best not to over-use these words in my coming videos.
I guess some people may be distracted by such things. I never noticed at all. I was too busy following the content. Thanks for yet another well-prepared and delivered vid.
Big thx for this video, the upcoming series and the exploit series. I just restartet playing poker and it helped me a lot to refresh and gain new knowledge.

dont understand That KQo hand ,do you have some info from your databaze about calling 3bet OOP with this KQo AJo ,i feel almoust imposible play postflop corectly
every hand you call 3 bet OOP is hard to play when you have 100bb and it is HU situation.(22-TT,AJ-A9,KQs,KJs,KQo,AJo).
And he 3betting only (9 procent ,that isn´t so high if i read your Hud corectly)
my def strategy here is 4bet blockers and fold par, maybe it looks too weak fold TT ,but dunno how play postflop profitable with it.
I don't have clear answers to this but I I can give some considerations.
First your hand equity vs villains range compared with your pot odds is important. So if you play micro/low stakes it might be that 3betting ranges are just really tight and strong, so you don't have great equity vs their range, but at my stakes and also at 100NL I do think people are having enough 3bet bluffs in their range that the equity is decent enough to make KQo a call preflop. You can also choose to 4bet bluff this hand as it does have great blockers.
Nutted potential and playability are also important. Often suited connectors hands have good playability and nutted potential, pocket pairs have mostly nutted potential and a hand like KQo relies more on bluffcatching equity.
Third thing is that your preflop frequencies are also important. For example, if you fold too much vs 3bets, you become very exploitable and a lot of players will attack this leak, and this is definitely something you want to prevent them from doing. So even for that reason, opening tighter and/or calling more 3bets is good because you don't want to become a target where people can potentially 3bet bluff you profitably with ATC.
Having reads may lead you to exploitatively call 3bets wider/tighter because of the postflop tendencies of your opponent. An example is that if you know your opponent is straight forward/cbet done type, you can potentially OOP float them lighter to bluff rivers and/or take more marginal hands to showdown.
Lastly, playing more pots postflop and experimenting will make you more experienced and thus a better player postflop in the long run, which may increase the EV of certain threshold hands that now you think are -EV up to a point where they become +EV.
any chance you could link or send out those excel sheets as a guideline? they look great just kind of hard to read all of them on video format....thanks
Yeah I am having a real hard time trying to recreate them. I don't want to use the exact same as yours but it would be nice to have a template! I can't quite figure out how to put a numbered list all on one cell in a table! I have spent way too long trying to figure it out which is obviously -EV lol.
min 55:56 table in the bottom left corner. We call a BTN 3 bet with KQo we expect villain to be wide. The flop is terrible for us being OOP but lucky for us villain checks back ( I suppose villain haven't got a clue that he flopped heaven even is his hand is trash) . We lead turn. Villain folds. Lets say villain calls turn. What sizing are you going to use OTR. I think over bet is in order. If so which cards are you going to be betting and how much.
The BananaBomb Is planning to bomb this river. What about you
Thanks
Hey sorry for not getting back to you earlier (long holiday). I wouldn't say flop is terrible for us. We should have 77-55/98s with a reasonable frequency and villain will not. Given that, I would probably OOP float flop with our K-spades blocker.
I agree with your analyses, great spot to put a lot of pressure with exploitable strategies on villains capped range. I generally would favour a sizing that is consistent with our value as well. The problem therefore with overbetting river is that you polarize yourself that you might induce herocalls, and that is not what you want if you apply an exploitative stategy of (over)bluffing aggressively vs a capped range. I would therefore bet large/consistent on any card except a 5-7, K or A. So yeah, bananabombing a ton should be good ;)

Thanks a lot! And definitely enjoying it so far over here :)
Good vid. Why not bet 32hh at the beginning of the session? What bluffs are you going to have there? Thanks!
Thanks!

Hey Djunkell, really promising looking video series. Thanks for the depth of preparation evident in this series, and in that of the last series.

You should always try to play optimal I think you mean game theory optimal.
yeah. Also if you watch his first series you ll see he already knows what you're trying to say. He seems to know how to exploit pretty darn well. :)
Really liked the session pre/review stuff, very helpful.

Hope that helps, GL!
Its really important to know the player when you call a 3bet OOP.
Great video as always!
I was just wondering if you created the study worksheets on your own? And if so, what tools did you use to create one, Excel?
Thanks! Yeah I build the format myself with Excel.
Thank you very much, this is very inspiring video, man.

Great video!
Is it possible to get a document of the "pre session" plan? =)
haha I got interested in that too
Great video! I already have the spreadsheet of xflixx that I've changed a bit but I will be adding some of your questions aswell ;)
Hey man great video, really like the pre game stuff you did in beginning! :D
