At around 32mins you 4bet TT planning to fold. Isn't it better to flat hands like TT to a guy who is 3betting so often rather than turn them into a bluff? I feel like there better hands that you can do this with such as hands with Blockers like Ax, KJo etc. Plus TT play pretty well postflop vs a wide range.
Just to clarify, we arent 4-betting our TT as a bluff - we are doing it for straight up value and to properly assess the strength of our opponents hand and to give us initiative. As his and our sizings are so small, coupled with the fact he has a high 3-bet %, I fully expect a recreational player like him to call with loads of weaker holdings.
18:40 Do you really feel that betting A5 there is going to be higher Ev then checking, when the flush arrives? I know it sounds abit nitty but really what range do you have getting to the river there that would barrel and expect to get Hero called by worse.. Seems to me that checking there is better in a vacuum, If there is history there then ofcourse i van not speculate.
I think to check back here is a real mistake fwiw. Considering the fact we are in the blinds, he expects us to continue our bluffs on this card, and there are still a ton of other busted draws and random air in our range, I still expect villian to call down here fairly wide. Therefore, having A5 in our value range is an absolute must imo.
is it really good to float any Kx on Flop and therefore balance a non-raising strategy instead of folding some weak Kx and creating a raising strategy ? For me it seems like you are limiting your postflop game. On GTO raising your strong 5x hands like A5 should definetly makes sense against the good 8x, overpairs and FD/SD. I think on such flops you are faced with 75% cbets and therefore it seems that punishing a too wide cbet range seems not to bad with hands like Tc7c, 9c7c etc.
If you are a player with a high raise flop % (over 12 or so), then I would agree having a any 5 in your raising range otf might be a good strategy. I dont raise flops much so I employ a balanced strategy of pretty much not having a flop raising range vs regs on this type of flop. Being uncapped here means I can call wider, and imo Any KT plus here isnt a fold.
By what you're implying is that I shouldn't have a raising range on a wet board which imo would be a mistake. I raise this flop with two overs and a nfd ebcause it has strong equity vs his range, and we give ourselves the opportunity to win the hand without having to make the nuts. Alternatively, if we do make our flush, we can maximise our value. I would raise my sets on this flop vs many opponents so having drawing hands and bluffs is important in our raising range makes us balanced.
@48:20 .... wouldn't it be better to make a lager bet ott (~22$) ? If we expect him to x/c the turn and x/f the river most of the time, we maximize our value and additionally we set up stacks for shove the river without overbetting.
Cool vids, really like the clean audio and the work flow with dragging in tables, much appreciated.
At 11min. Why do you check river? 2 induce? He might call value bet if you rep busted flush draw? Maybe he has AK/1010 (or 77/55) like you mentioned, off course then he would prolly not check back. So why no value bet? Also he does not get to see your hand if he folds 2 your value bet, that is worth something as well right?
As I expressed in part 1 of this series - I love this style. So far, as a micros player, this is the best full ring small stakes series I have seen. No fluff, no wasted air time, just 50+ minutes of strategy. Keep up the fantastic work!
@ 9:40 - I keep seeing the "run it twice" box checked on all of your tables. I'm a US player and our sites don't have this option. Is this standard on Pokerstars? I just see that yours is always checked and I'm wondering if you really do run it twice the majority of the time. I don't know how things work over on Stars these days.
Im glad you enjoy my videos! Yeah on Stars you can have run it twice ticked, and if both players have it then you run it twice. I would say about 60% or possibly more have it ticked, and fish quite rarely do. I really like it, reduces variance.

Great vid as always.
Think both have a positive ev.
Don't forget that when we call his bluffs realize there equity ..
Also we get into tricky spots when we hit a overpair..

Love the format. Dragging the tables in and commenting later makes it so much easier to see and follow.
Thanks man, I enjoy this format too.

How would you continue with TT if you don't hit a set there?
a) A or K on flop
b) any other overcards
c) lowcard-flop
A. x/c one, B. x/s J or Q high if its a fd draw flop x/c otherwise. C. x/s
great video. love watching these before i start my sessions
Minute 48:
i dont really get why you would raise this turn with 2 overs + fd.
Do you raise your sets on this type of flop? What would be the advantages of that?
How do you play f.e. the QsJs and KsQs, so overs with backdoors, on this kind of flop?

Hi, what stats do you use on your hud? Maybe you can go trough that on your next video. Thanks!
I was going to ask the same question. Would be really nice, if you could tell us what stats your HUD shows.
Besides that, great video again! Hope there is comming a lot more from you.
